Played in by Emi Buendia after laying off a Marco Stiepermann pass, he eventually drags his left-footed effort wide of goal from inside the area.

The first proper chance the Finn has had.

Almost an opening for the Canaries!

A great stepover dummy from Marco Stiepermann releases Onel Hernandez down the left.

The German gets to the byline and sends a low ball across the six-yard box.

But Teemu Pukki was waiting for a pull back and no-one else gambled to get in close, so the ball flashes away from danger.

Swansea are still passing it well, Norwich are doing fine in their own half but not threatening the Welsh side's defence as yet.

Swans keeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt is yet to make a save.

All of a sudden, the ball breaks to Teemu Pukki just inside the Swansea half.

He comes forward and spreads the ball out to the right flank.

But Max Aarons, up from right-back, is crowded out as the visitors win a goal kick.

The Swans take their time to get the game restarted.

The space opens up for Norwich midfielder Marco Stiepermann, who twists, turns, shimmies and opens his body up for the shot.

He gets his attempt all wrong, miscuing it high and wide.

The Canaries have not had too many sights at goal so far this evening.

Some gasps from the home crowds Teemu Pukki almost intercepts a pass out from Swansea keeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt.

Norwich then win the ball in defence and look to mount a swift counter-attack, but Onel Hernandez is flagged offside after he latches on to a through ball.

Daniel Farke is cutting a bit of a frustrated figure on the Norwich bench,

His side are yet to come alive and properly impose themselves on the game.

Max Aarons slides in with a great challenge to dispossess Daniel James inside the Norwich area.

Swansea skipper Mike van der Hoorn almost nods a George Byers corner at goal.

The ball comes through to Wayne Routledge, who slips and then wins another corner.

Then Cameron Carter-Vickers nods the latest delivery well wide of goal. A chance for the hosts to relieve the pressure.

Another long-distance shot from George Byers, which cannons off the thighs of a Norwich defender and wide of goal.

Bersant Celina has a shot at the Norwich goal from about 30 yards out which is deflected behind for a corner.

The Swans take it short, look to work a crossing opportunity then win another corner from a blocked cross.

Swansea have a decent spell on the right but as Nathan Dyer, Bersant Celina and Connor Roberts trade passes on the flank they have no dominating physical presence in the box to deliver to.

That is the one negative of losing Oli McBurnie from the starting line-up.

Norwich dispossess the Swans defence and Teemu Pukki cuts the ball back from the byline.

The visitors clear at the expense of a corner, and then deal with the far-post delivery.

Swansea work the ball forward and a ball is chipped in looking for Wayne Routledge, but the winger handles the ball on the edge of the box as he tries to control it.

The visitors have settled well. Plenty for Norwich boss Daniel Farke to ponder early on.

Norwich skipper Christoph Zimmermann heads away a corner but Swansea retrieve the loose ball.

Midfielder George Byers has a dig from about 25 yards out, and it is a comfortable save for Tim Krul.

The visitors are pinging it about well and are pressing Norwich when the Canaries have the ball.

Swansea forward Daniel James has a sight at goal again and brings a decent save from Tim Krul from inside the box on the angle.

The ball rebounds back towards James but the Norwich defence snaffle it away.

An early free-kick in a decent position for Norwich is wasted, as Emi Buendia's delivery is over-hit and nowhere near the yellow shirts in the Swansea box.

Tim Krul you lucky, lucky man.

Norwich are trying it play out from the back and pop the ball back to their keeper.

But the Dutchman takes his time and doesn't see Daniel James creeping up on him.

His attempted pass rebounds back off the forward and Krul is able to pick up the loose ball. That could have gone anywhere.

Norwich come down the other end and Marco Stiepermann plays in Teemu Pukki.

The Finnish striker has a defender covering him in the box and the angle is against him, so he turns the ball back into space looking for his team-mate.

Stiepermann can't get on the end of it and the Swans clear the ball away.

A positive start from the Swans, as Bersant Celina switches play from left to right.

The visitors work the ball to Daniel James, who is leading the line tonight in the absence of the ill Oli McBurnie.

James controls on the edge of the area, turns and shoots but it is a weak effort and straight at Tim Krul.
