Hearts' second goal was brilliantly worked, Michael Smith blocked the marker and they had runners spinning off the ball - and it's a great finish from Steven Naismith

  2. HALF-TIME Kilmarnock 1-2 Heart of Midlothianpublished at 20:33 GMT 1 February 2019

Well, like buses, you wait and wait and suddenly three goals come in quick succession in the final seven minutes before the break.

Kilmarnock were looking the more likely to score until Sean Clare's fine finish gave Hearts the lead.

Steven Naismith quickly fired Hearts further ahead and, just as home manager Steve Clarke was rehearsing his half-time riot act, his side are back in the game, although it was a bit of a present after Christophe Berra needlessly upended Alan Power and Jordan Jones reduced the arrears from the penalty spot.

All to play for in the second half.

It's certainly heating up at frosty Rugby Park and Chris Burke is on fire.

The winger takes on Christophe Berra and unleashes a shot with plenty of power but with not enough direction either side of the goalkeeper and Colin Doyle makes a comfortable save.

The game's going exactly the way I thought it was going to go after seeing Kilmarnock at Aberdeen. They're so dogged and industrious. I think both midfields will cancel each other out. It's going to take a bit of quality or a mistake to win this
