What a touch that is by James Forrest. The whole move was brilliant, the football was absolutely superb. You’ll struggle to see a better team goal than that. Absolutely outstanding

  6. goal

GOAL Albania 0-4 Scotlandpublished at 66mins

    James Forrest

Only minutes after breaking his Scotland duck, James Forrest does it again.

He gathers a Ryan Fraser cut-back, dinks it over his marker and volleys it home from 10 yards.

It's turning it a rout. What a difference from that horrible display in losing in Israel.

  8. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:08 GMT 17 November 2018

    Albania 0-3 Scotland

So close to a fourth for Scotland - and a second for James Forrest.

The winger fires with the outside of his foot towards the far corner.

It might have been beating goalkeeper Etrit Berisha in any case, but David Bates makes sure and the debutant defender is clearly offside.

Brilliant from Forrest. I don’t know how he’s managed to get that amount of space. A great run and a well-executed goal. That’s surely now the three points

  13. goal

GOAL Albania 0-3 Scotlandpublished at 55mins

    James Forrest

A third for Scotland and it is straight from the Celtic team training ground.

Callum McGregor flights a ball through the heart of the Albania defence and James Forrest races clear, holds off a couple of defenders and finds the target off the outstretched hand of goalkeeper Etrit Berisha.

It is a surprise to note that it is the winger's first Scotland goal.

  20. Standing ovationpublished at 20:43 GMT 17 November 2018

    HT: Albania 0-2 Scotland

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland in Shkoder

So far so good for Alex McLeish and Scotland.

You get the feeling that the home side are beginning to lose their discipline having already been reduced to 10 men.

And Scotland have surely put this game to bed with a second goal just before the break.

The midfield duo of Ryan Christie and Stuart Armstrong have been the workhorses and the width offered by both James Forrest and goalscorer Ryan Fraser have been a constant threat.

The 2500-strong Tartan Army gave their heroes a standing ovation as they trooped off for their half-time cup of tea.

On this showing, more goals are likely in the second period and what a boost that would ahead of Israel on Tuesday.
