Inter Milan think they're ahead - but it's been ruled out.

Marcelo Brozovic crosses from deep, Matias Vecino flicks it on with his head and Mauro Icardi finishes from close range.

But Icardi was offside when Vecino got his touch so it's disallowed. The referee has a little chat with the VAR team - presumably to make sure Vecino did touch it. And it stays 'no goal'.

It's been a slow start - Gonzalo Higuain has had one touch of the ball whereas Mauro Icardi hasn't even managed one.

I just realised there will be millions of football fans who don't remember a time when the Milan derby was basically what El Clasico is now.

First chance is for AC Milan as Suso lines one up 30 yards out but lashes it wide of his near post. It was a few feet wide in the end - Inter keeper Samir Handanovic didn't look too concerned.

A bit of one of those tifos, it looks like wrapping paper, is flying along the pitch and gets in the way of one of AC Milan's defenders but it doesn't slow him up too much.
