Southend v Walsall
It's game ON at Southend, one of three matches still taking place in League One.
That's thanks largely to a band of supporters and volunteers...

Watford v West Brom (15:00 GMT)
Everybody remembers West Brom's great escape of 2005.
Managed by Bryan Robson, they were bottom when the final league games kicked off but saved themselves with a 2-0 win over Portsmouth at an ecstatic Hawthorns.
I can't help wondering if Albion would have stayed up had they sacked Robson - but in those days sacking was a last resort, not a first port of call. The current incumbent, Alan Pardew, is skating on thin ice - and he knows it. The Baggies are going to need something similar to 2005 to stay up this season.
Meanwhile, Watford's Hornets bumble on to probable, but uninspiring, safety under Javi Gracia - their 10th manager in five and a half years. I wonder if Gracia has bothered unpacking his suitcase?"

Storm Emma?
Standby for Storm Pardew if West Brom lose at Watford later.
The Baggies have lost their past four league matches and sit seven points from safety at the bottom of the Premier League.
Another defeat and Pardew could find himself out in the cold after just 15 league games in charge.
"It's not a decision for me to make," he said when asked about the consequences of defeat at Watford.
"As a professional manager, it's a tough ask. There's no lack of fight from my front."

Dave Tucker is absolutely right about the arrogance of the Premier League. That and TV companies who are always more bothered about a global tv audience than the safety of match-going fans. A nice warm pitch is not a top priority on the list of supporter worries as they slip and slide towards a game. Just cancel them all!!

I watched Southampton at Burnley last week and it was like they didn’t want to score. I look at their team and I can't understand where they are. They don’t look like scoring goals.
Stoke have gone away from what they were - hard to beat. There’s a lot of work to be done. This is probably biggest game of the weekend.

Match of the Day commentator at Turf Moor
It was on the second weekend of December - 12 long, cold weeks ago - that Burnley last won and Everton last won away. Little wonder some Toffees fans liked the idea that this game could fall foul of the weather!, external
Like the cold snap though, those winless runs will end sometime soon, and both will see this as a golden opportunity.
For his 250th game in charge of Burnley, might Sean Dyche divert from the norm and go with two up front? It may be a thought, with the goal-shy Clarets facing an ever-changing and - arguably for that reason -a less than solid Everton defence., external
The statistics don't suggest a classic. Lies, damned lies etc.
They are all ON, even if Jamie Carragher has just come shivering onto my screen at Burnley to do some pre-match stuff. Freezing at Turf Moor.

Duvet?
One Arsenal fan brought his bedding into the Emirates for Thursday's 3-0 defeat against Manchester City. Presumably to hide behind.
How many duvets will be on display at grounds today? I reckon a 13.5 Tog should do the trick.

A pitch inspection is to take place at Mourneview Park in Lurgan to determine if the match between Glenavon and Loughgall can go ahead.

Dave Tucker: So much arrogance from @premierleague, external to say all games to be played today. Given that advice is only travel in an emergency how can all games be played given the distance between all teams playing each other except #BUREVE, external?

Cardiff City's Championship game at Brentford on Saturday is the latest Welsh sporting fixture to fall victim to the weather.
The Brentford pitch failed a Friday pitch inspection.
That followed Cardiff Blues, Ospreys, Scarlets, Newport County and Wrexham weekend games being postponed.
Blues, Ospreys and Scarlets games against Benetton, Zebre and Leinster respectively were postponed due to wintry conditions and travel issues.
Saturday's Ebbsfleet United v Wrexham and Newport v Accrington Stanley football games are postponed.
The last team standing are Dover, who face Leyton Orient today. As it stands...

Re: what’s off. Scunthorpe’s game is on, but lonely in League One alongside Southend. How about giving us a prominent position on Final Score or (tv contracts aside) putting us on MOTD?
Paul, Horncastle
I can safely say Paul that Scunny will NOT be shown on MOTD tonight...
A further match goes in League Two...

All seven of Saturday's Premier League games are set to go ahead despite adverse weather conditions in the UK.
But six games in the Championship, including those at Aston Villa and Wolves, have been postponed as have most matches in League One and League Two.
All Scottish league games have been called off, but - as it stands - the Scottish Cup quarter-finals are on.
Watford fans, whose team face West Brom, were asked to go to Vicarage Road from 08:30 GMT to help clear snow.
Supporters of Southend - who host Walsall in League One - and Carlisle - who face Grimsby in League Two - also helped clear their respective pitches.
Elsewhere, horse racing fixtures at Lingfield, Newcastle and Chelmsford all passed morning inspections and will go ahead.
There is no jump racing this weekend because of the weather.

GM Armitage: I'm a @officiallydale, external supporter living in Bacup, Lancashire and our game is off for safety reasons (and rightly so). How 6 miles away @BurnleyOfficial, external have a game on with snow and high winds in the area I don't know?! TV dictating fixtures again.
Plenty of snow around the fringes of the pitch at Turf Moor on my monitor...

Gary Richards: I’m going to watch Birmingham at Nottingham Forest today. It’ll be a struggle getting there. In these situations, away fans and where the majority are travelling from, should be taken into consideration more so than the roads surrounding the hosting venue
