    Doncaster 1-3 Chelsea

    Owen Phillips
    BBC Sport Online

Doncaster are struggling to contain Chelsea's attacking quality but for all the fine passing and clever off-the-ball running, two goals have come from headers straight from set-pieces. That will infuriate Belles boss Glen Harris.

And, at 3-1 down and having to chase the game after the break, you fear it could be a heavier defeat than the 4-1 loss the hosts suffered against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday.

It's by no means a lost cause, with Natasha Dowie looking bright. But can Donny avoid conceding more against such a dangerous front line?

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 GMT 24 March 2016

    Doncaster 1-3 Chelsea

The Belles win a free kick in a dangerous area right on the stroke of half time after Claire Rafferty fouls Sam Tierney but Natasha Dowie curls it wide.

The first half is all over and what an opening 45 minutes it's been! Four goals and plenty of action.

  6. goal

    GOAL (Chapman)published at 43 mins

    Doncaster 1-3 Chelsea

Simple but brilliant. Katie Chapman rises highest to meet Karen Carney's corner and coolly nods home from close range.

Half time is soon approaching and Chelsea are looking clinical. Doncaster need to hit the ground running after the break if they are to get anything tonight.

  7. Wing duo running the showpublished at 38 mins

    Doncaster 1-2 Chelsea

Chelsea wingers Karen Carney and Beth England are both on the scoresheet and are causing no end of problems to the home defence.

They switched flanks, with Carney moving to the left and tormenting Emily Simpkins. But they are back in their starting spots now.

England showed respect to her former club after that powerful header for Chelsea's second, refusing to celebrate against the side she left at the end of last season.

  8. Doncaster 1-2 Chelseapublished at 35 mins

Another chance for Chelsea to extend their lead but fortunately for the hosts, Millie Bright strikes high and wide following a clever ball off the left-wing from Claire Rafferty.

  9. Doncaster 1-2 Chelseapublished at 31 mins

Doncaster play a neat free kick short to Courtney Sweetman-Kirk who runs toward the touchline and fires on goal from an acute angle but finds the side netting.

Can the Belles work their way back into this?

  10. Doncaster 1-2 Chelseapublished at 28 mins

Ji So Yun chests before volleying to Karen Carney who is in acres of space and completely unmarked, but the Chelsea striker's finish floats over the bar.

Chelsea look in great shape as it stands.

  11. goal

    GOAL (England)published at 23 mins

    Doncaster 1-2 Chelsea

Rhiannon Roberts is called into action at the near post as a dangerous corner is whipped in by Chelsea and Beth England scores on her league debut for Chelsea against her former club from the following corner.

  12. Making an impressionpublished at 20 mins

    Doncaster 1-1 Chelsea

    Owen Phillips
    BBC Sport Online

Captain Katie Chapman stands out a mile in the Chelsea midfield - and it's not just because of the snazzy yellow boots. A couple of crunching early challenges were definitely in the 'let em know you're here' category.

Chapman has laid a solid base, allowing her midfield partner Millie Bright to rampage forward and win the penalty.

But the away dominance now counts for little after that fine Donny break and Courtney Sweetman-Kirk's teasing cross caused panic and led to Claire Rafferty's own goal.

  13. goal

GOAL (Rafferty own goal)published at 15 mins

    Doncaster 1-1 Chelsea

Oh that's rotten luck for Claire Rafferty. She's caught out from Courtney Sweetman-Kirk's curling cross into the box and puts the ball into her own net.

We are all square once more and what an opening quarter of an hour it's been!

  14. Doncaster 0-1 Chelseapublished at 13 mins

Chelsea could be two nil up almost straight from the restart. Hannah Blundell puts a superb cross into the box but former Donny forward Beth England's close-range shot is blocked by host keeper Nicola Hobbs.

  15. goal

    GOAL (Carney)published at 12 mins

    Doncaster 0-1 Chelsea

Karen Carney with a goal from the spot on her league debut for Chelsea! The former Birmingham City player makes no mistake and puts the visitors in front.

  16. PENALTYpublished at 11 mins

    Doncaster 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea win a penalty! Rhiannon Roberts fouls Millie Bright in the area.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 10 mins

    Doncaster 0-0 Chelsea

Eni Aluko latches on to a great ball in midfield and works the ball into the box before unleashing a fierce shot against the bar.

  18. Doncaster 0-0 Chelseapublished at 9 mins

Chelsea's Ji So Yun picks the ball up in midfield and gallops towards goal before Becky Easton puts in a superb tackle to win back possession for the hosts.

The visitors keep up the pressure and win a corner when Emily Simpkins clears Katie Chapman's box-bound delivery but the Belles clear again.

  19. Doncaster 0-0 Chelseapublished at 7 mins

Both teams sizing each other up on a chilly March night in South Yorkshire. The hosts win a corner which Chelsea keeper Hedvig Lindahl punches clear.

    Honours even so far.

  20. Doncaster 0-0 Chelseapublished at 4 mins

Karen Carney makes a fine run in on goal but comes off second best to a robust challenge from Belles goalkeeper Nicola Hobbs.
