It is all about kickouts. Cavan were all at sea in the opening 20 minutes, couldn't get to grips with Beggan's kickouts. When they came into the game they won three of them.

The movement of Monaghan forward line is phenomenal. They have so many small, mobile players cutting inside and they could be further ahead.

We're starting to see the Paddy Lynch of old. He was still finding his way back during the league, he had wee niggles and was in and out but we're seeing the old Paddy Lynch today.

There's a bit of life in Cavan. They'll be disappointed with their first half, Dara McVeety isn't getting the joy he wanted. O'Toole is doing a great job on him.

This two-pointer from Cavan marksman Paddy Lynch is all the more impressive considering he had just missed one.

Cavan will need a few more of those in the second half, though.

There's something in it for Cavan still is the worry for Monaghan but they just need to get their shot efficiency up, that's important and keep going after Beggan's kick out.

You could see Monaghan opening up Cavan in the third quarter too.
