Antrim manager Andy McEntee cut a much happier figure on Saturday afternoon than six days previously as he watched his team get back to winning ways in Allianz Football League Division Three with their 14-point win over Leitrim.

First-half goals from Marc Jordan, Niall Burns, Dominic McEnhill and Fionn Nagle had Antrim in total control by the midway point and they were able to manage the game out in the second period.

Following a pair of defeats on the road, including last week's 16-point reverse away to Offaly in Tullamore when they finished with 13 men, bouncing back was the objective on Saturday and they accomplished that mission.

"But for eight wides in the first half, we could have been further ahead although it was probably over as a contest [at half-time]. It's tough for Leitrim as they are struggling without a lot of key men, but for us it was just important to get the win," said McEntee.

"We certainly seemed to have a lot more energy about us than last weekend, but relief is the most overwhelming feeling at the moment so it's nice to win."

Mattie Donnelly and Mickey O'Neill start for Tyrone in place of Kieran McGeary and Seanie O'Donnell.

The Canavan brothers took part in the warm-up along with Peter Harte and the Errigal trio are all brought on to the bench, replacing Lorcan McGarrity, Liam Gray and Ronan Cassidy.

The Errigal boys are bound to get their first experience of life under the new rules at some point in this game as Tyrone chase vital league points.

Tyrone's hasty retreat into the Sperrin mountains due to the inclement weather brings back memories of 2020 when on a Sunday morning, a Tyrone v Kerry league fixture was moved from Omagh to Edendork.

This time the game was at least moved 24 hours earlier with the pitch in Healy Park deemed unplayable.

Malachy O'Rourke has named an unchanged team from what was the poorest performance under his short three-game reign so far in the defeat away to Mayo last Sunday.

But that won't be the team that lines out. Expect several late changes with Errigal Ciaran players expected to make their return for the first time since the All-Ireland club defeat last month.

Kerry have David Clifford back in the starting line-up. What a boost for any team.

Chrissy McKaigue says next Sunday's Division One contest in Donegal is now effectively must-win for relegation-threatened Derry but believes they can achieve a surprise victory in Ballyshannon despite Saturday's heavy defeat by Dublin.

McKaigue said that Derry were "never in a position to win" at Croke Park, adding that the 3-20 to 2-12 scoreline "reflected what it was, which was a fairly one-sided game".

Yet he contends his former Oak Leaf team-mates can still avoid the drop, which would be quite a fall after beating Dublin to land the Division One title last March.

"I would still back those players to get points in the next three games but they need to start by getting two points in the next game against Donegal," said McKaigue who was on punditry duty for BBC Sport during the iPlayer coverage of the Dublin contest.

"I still believe the Donegal game is a game that they can see as winnable."

We're also just hearing that Down hurlers' scheduled Division Two game against Meath at Trim has also been called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

The inclement weather has led to a number of postponements including the big Division 1A Hurling game between Kilkenny and Limerick and the Division 1B Hurling contest between Laois and Carlow.

The venue for Tyrone's Allianz Football League Division One contest against Kerry was changed from Healy Park in Omagh to Pomeroy.

A Tyrone GAA statement on Saturday morning confirmed the venue change although gave no reason for the decision.

The throw-in time for the crucial Division One fixture remains 13:45 GMT.

Both sides go into the crucial contest on only two league points from their opening three games.

Tyrone's ladies were also scheduled to play Kerry in Omagh today but that game was switched to Garvaghey and the Kingdom ladies lead 2-4 to 0-4 at half-time.

Fermanagh's Division Three contest against Offaly was also moved from Brewster Park in Enniskillen to Ederney. The throw-in remains 14:00 GMT.

After a hammering by seriously improving Offaly a fortnight ago, Davy Fitzgerald's Antrim will surely have to lift their performance considerably to complete with Waterford in today's vital Allianz Hurling League Division 1B contest at Corrigan Park.

However, the Saffrons have invariably been competitive at the west Belfast venue in recent seasons and indeed have claimed some notable scalps there, so Fitzgerald's men are not without hope going into this contest against the team that he managed as recently as seven months ago.

In addition, promotion favourites Waterford lost their opener in Carlow and weren't overly impressive in defeating Laois two weeks ago.

Antrim go into today's game in one of the relegation positions, with only Westmeath, who they defeated at Corrigan Park earlier this month, behind them in the Division 1B table, with two teams going to suffer the drop when the action concludes on 22 March.

The quality of the division was further emphasised by Offaly's victory over Dublin at Croke Park yesterday which moved the Faithful County to the top of the table on seven points from four games, with the Dubs currently in second spot on four points from three games.

The Saffrons' remaining contests will be over the next fortnight as they play in Carlow next weekend before the concluding home game with Laois prior to sitting out the final round in the seven-team division.
