    A single off Amar Virdi and Colin de Grandhomme reaches his first Championship hundred for Hampshire - and his 13th in first-class cricket.

    It has taken the big all-rounder only 136 balls and he has so far hit a six and 13 fours.

    No pics of today's action yet - but here's one of him taken recently before the World Test Championship final. And in case you are wondering if the hair is still there, yes it is.

    Three fours and a six from Mitch Claydon has boosted Sussex's total.

    Glamorgan will be annoyed having had their hosts 161-7.

    Ben Stokes has gone off after three overs for 16 runs. Brydon Carse takes over and Pieter Malan off-drives for four to post a 50 partnership with Rob Yates. Malan, in particular, has looked in very good nick for his 30 not out.

    Felix Organ dabs down to third man and takes three to reach an 84-ball half-century. The following over and Colin de Grandhomme puts away a leg-stump half-volley by Ryan Patel and that's a 100 partnership between these two.

    Hampshire 307-7 v Surrey

    Time for spin - and time for Colin de Grandhomme to assert himself.

    He takes two steps down the track and lofts Amar Virdi away for six, and then uses his feet well again before driving the next ball away for four.

    Three batting points for Hampshire and de Grandhomme is 81 not out.

  7. Warwicks 54-1 v Durham

    Start of a new Ben Raine over and Rob Yates straight drives for four to take the Warwickshire total past 50 for the loss of Dom Sibley, who made nought. Yates is 30 not out and Pieter Malan has 22.

    Sussex 200-9 v Glamorgan

    Sussex do get their batting point.

    And it's No. 11 Mitch Claydon who delivers with a beautiful flowing cover drive down towards the sea.

    Ricardo Vasconcelos tries to cut a ball that skids on and Harry Duke clings on with a juggle behind the stumps.

    Yorkshire will feel they're right back in the game now.

    Only need nine wickets to get through Northants today with Luke Procter absent.

    After more than three hours of disciplined batting, Leus du Plooy throws the bat at a wide one from Luke Fletcher and is caught behind for 30. No wonder he bangs the bat down in annoyance. Three wickets now for Fletcher - he is the Championship's leading wicket-taker with 41.

    One of the stories of the season has got a little better.

    16-year-old Daniel Ibrahim made a half-century on debut at Headingley at the start of last month.

    And now he's added a second in his second match.

    If Mitch Claydon can stay with him slightly longer, Sussex could scrape a batting point.

  12. Stokes into the attack

    Warwickshire 42-1 v Durham

    Unlucky Ben Stokes. His first ball of the match takes the edge of Rob Yates' bat but flies low past third slip and away for four.

    Two balls later, and Stokes can have no complaints as he overpitches and Pieter Malan puts it away past mid-off.

    Malan is 16 not out and is looking good, having played an authoritative pull shot for four off Ben Raine in the previous over.

  14. Hants pair post 50 stand

    Hampshire 272-7 v Surrey

    Two runs to Colin de Grandhomme off Rikki Clarke brings up a 50 partnership with Felix Organ at the Ageas Bowl. He flicks the next ball to fine leg for four and is now 62 not out. Organ has 36.

  15. Northants 93-4 v Yorks 158

    Dom Bess has struck twice in two overs for Yorkshire who need quick wickets to limit Northants' lead.

    Still work to do of course for the home side to get into positive territory and Ricardo Vasconcelos still there.

    But a partnership needed.

  16. Notts v Derbyshire 117-6

    The pressure has paid off for Notts at Trent Bridge where Fynn Hudson-Prentice drives a ball from Dane Paterson, but fails to keep it down and Liam Patterson-White takes the catch at cover. Hudson-Prentice made 30 and the new batsman is Alex Thomson.

    You know those lower-order rallies I mentioned?

    Roelof van der Merwe is today's man for Somerset and takes back-to-back fours from Will Davis to reach his half-century.

    Will almost certainly be three batting points for Somerset to immediately apply some pressure to their Group Two rivals.

    Three successive maidens at Trent Bridge - will there be a fourth? Not quite as Leus du Plooy picks up two runs from Luke Fletcher's final delivery following five dot balls.

  19. 'Nagging line' pays off for Potts

    We started on time on day two, having seen nothing but rain yesterday - and England's Dom Sibley is already back in the pavilion after edging Matty Potts to the keeper in the sixth over.

    Potts' first three overs were maidens and he and Chris Rushworth are bowling tight, nagging lines.

    Ben Stokes is playing for Durham. It' his first championship match for the club for three years. The last was in Cheltenham in July 2018.

    Durham won the toss yesterday morning and decided to bowl but just as the players were about to head out onto the field the rain came. That toss seems a long time ago now.

  20. Second point for Hants

    Hampshire 254-7 v Surrey

    Felix Organ flashes a ball from Jordan Clark past gully and takes three runs to push the total past 250 and earn Hampshire their second batting point.

    Clark is looking to complete five wickets in an innings for only the fourth time in a first-class game, but no joy yet. Organ is 22 not out and Colin de Grandhomme is on 54.
