Derry's wide count was alarmingly high yesterday and that's two fairly straightforward kicks missed already by Armagh.

Ronan Burns' restarts for Down have been excellent of late but Darragh McMullen was all over that one before Greg McCabe's wide.

Down's talisman Pat Havern makes no mistake with an early free and Down are ahead again.

    Armagh 0-1 Down 0-1

    Conor McManus
Two-time Ulster winner on BBC Sport NI

This is a very frantic start from both teams. It's not the typical Ulster Championship game where teams try to feel each other out. The two teams are going 100 miles an hour.

    Down 0-1 Armagh 0-1

Cian McConville misses a free right between the posts from outside the first arc. Looked a straightforward one but that's the pressure telling.

    Armagh v Down (16:00 BST)

    Matt Gault
BBC Sport NI senior journalist at St Tiernach's Park

It's a final-esque atmosphere in here today, flags and horns aplenty.

It's going to be an intense afternoon. Armagh beat Down by a point in the 2024 semi-final with a late Jason Duffy score.

This one could go down to the wire, too.

With Murdock in the middle, he was just unmarkable (against Donegal). It will be interesting to see how Armagh deal with him today.

  19. Westmeath taken to extra timepublished at 15:52 BST 3 May

Extra time: Kildare 1-16 Westmeath 0-19

In a nip and tuck encounter in Leinster, Kildare levelled late to force extra time in their semi-final with Westmeath.

Remember if Westmeath were to make the Leinster Championship final, Down would need to win today in order to not only book a place in the Ulster final but to secure All-Ireland football this summer.

  20. Team newspublished at 15:50 BST 3 May

    Armagh v Down (16:00 BST)

Armagh manager Kieran McGeeney has made three changes from the team that brushed aside Fermanagh last weekend.

Greg McCabe comes in at wing-forward for Daniel Magee while a late alteration sees Blaine Hughes reclaim his spot in between the posts.

Joe McElroy returns and comes into the half-back line alongside Tiernan Kelly and Jarly Og Burns who combined for 0-7 in the quarter final win.

Gareth Murphy is fit enough for the bench with Rory Grugan now wearing number 5 among the substitutes as Ross McQuillan drops out entirely.

As for Down, having sprung a shock against Donegal seven days ago it’s perhaps no surprise that Conor Laverty has selected the same 15 for today’s clash in Clones.
