New Orleans Saints 3-3 Minnesota Vikings

New Orleans to the Super Bowl? The odds aren't great.

Since 1990, only two of 60 playoff teams that played home games in a dome made the Super Bowl without a first-round bye.

Andrew Priestley: The noise inside the Superdome when the Vikings offense is on the field is deafening! The intimidation factor alone is worth 7-10 points in a playoff game like this, and fumbles like that from Thielen just compound the problems further!

  6. Postpublished at 18:24 GMT 5 January 2020

New Orleans Saints 3-0 Minnesota Vikings

Dalvin Cook needs to find a lane for the Vikings but he's absolutely stuffed by the Saints defence. Man it's loud in there!

Martouf: RE: Andrew at 18:00 what ground game? Their three starting running backs are out and they had to resign Beast Mode. Eagles' front 7 is too good for the ground for him to do much damage.

Marshawn 'Beast Mode' Lynch rejoined Seattle before their final game of the regular season - after being a free agent since last season - and managed 34 yards from 12 carries as the Seahawks lost 26-21 to the 49ers last week.

Wil Lutz thumps it through from 29 yards with a really satisfying sound. Points on the board.

Big play! Drew Brees gets sacked on third down and that's a big stop! The Saints are going to have to settle for a field goal.

Michael Thomas set the record for receptions and he has a brilliant play caller. The Saints' head coach, Sean Payton, gets him in great situations but he makes the most of it.

This guy catches the ball outside, inside, in the slot - he does whatever it takes. He's the best receiver in the game this year.

New Orleans Saints 0-0 Minnesota Vikings

Drew Brees moves the ball downfield to pick up a first down. What a start this would be if the Saints can score from that turnover, Michael Thomas with another first down...

  14. Postpublished at 18:12 GMT 5 January 2020

New Orleans Saints 0-0 Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings are 3-1 all-time vs Saints in the playoffs. Not a great start for them - this fumble is under review by the way.

  15. Postpublished at 18:09 GMT 5 January 2020

New Orleans Saints 0-0 Minnesota Vikings

Fumble! Terrible start for the visitors as Adam Thielen is set to get a first down but fumbles it and the Saints recover the ball. They get all the way down to near the 10-yard line too - although Holton Hill did step out bounds.

The running game is what Minnesota have to get back to, this is why they had success earlier in the season.

Dalvin Cook was leading the league (in rushing yards) at one point in time and for them to win this game they have to establish the run.

It's a bad match-up for the Vikings. I've got to go with the Saints.
