Sitting at Turn 16 under the lights and gutted that Lewis didn't make it through. Sounds like winter break couldn't come soon enough! Got a feeling George might surprise us!
Charles Leclerc was thrown into danger by rookie Kimi Antonelli, who is only just safe himself, sitting in 10th spot. Leclerc is sliding around once again in his Ferrari, losing time due to oversteer at Turn Six.

Sprint polesitter Oscar Piastri is the man to beat now with a 1:19.650 but his McLaren team-mate has just had a lap time deleted for an infringement at Turn 10. The Briton's time was only good enough for P3 but now he's fallen into the bottom five with seven minutes to go.

George Russell keeps putting in laps that sneak him in and around those two McLarens.
It's not a done deal that it's going to be a McLaren front row and if anyone can sneak in the way, whether that's a Max Verstappen or a Russell, it just throws a cat amongst the pigeons.
It introduces a level of risk and uncertainty for the title protagonists.

Hamilton is finding it even harder than his team-mate Charles Leclerc, but the general performance of Ferrari right now is nowhere near where it needs to be.
Lewis Hamilton is making his way back to the Ferrari garage, looking as crestfallen as he did yesterday after his SQ1 disappointment.
George Russell, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were the quickest three drivers in that opening session. Williams' Carlos Sainz put in a great lap to finish P5.

In my humble opinion, for the good of the sport, Norris should wrap it up this weekend. There's been far too much controversy in F1 on the final race day, IF the championship is yet to be settled. Here's hoping, right...
Red Bull inform Yuki Tsunoda of the tight result that sees him booted out in the first part of qualifying. The Japanese driver doesn't take it too well, understandably, and lets out some flowery language on the team radio.
What of Lewis Hamilton? Back-to-back Q1 eliminations for the seven-time world champion.

Yuki Tsunoda thinks he is safe but Gabriel Bortoleto swoops in at the last minute and saves his Sauber from disappointment. Tusonoda and Lewis Hamilton are out.
Yuki Tsunoda jumps to 12th on the timesheets, Liam Lawson goes up to P5 and Alex Albon lifts himself up to P11, which drops Lewis Hamilton into danger. The Ferrari man is looking at another Q1 blow.
George Russell and Max Verstappen have each highlighted issues in the early stages of this qualifying session but the pair are safe in P3 and P4 respectively.
Lewis Hamilton can only manage 13th place after his latest run and the seven-time world champion is in trouble once again.
Charles Leclerc has tumbled to P15 right on the edge of the drop zone, while Lewis Hamilton is only a few places up the road in 12th spot. The two Ferrari drivers will need to gear up for another run in this Q1 session.
