Manchester United manager Marc Skinner has said the club will look to sign cover for midfielder Celin Bizet in January after she announced her pregnancy.

The Norway international announced on Thursday she is expecting a baby in 2026 with her husband Aron.

Skinner said United would look to bolster their already stretched squad next month in anticipation for Bizet going on maternity leave.

"Congratulations to Aron and Celin, but from our perspective we will miss her," Skinner told his media conference on Friday. "Hopefully we will do some work in the transfer window to replace her."

United have been boosted ahead of their Women's Super League meeting on Sunday with West Ham United by the return to fitness of first-choice goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce.

Tullis-Joyce suffered a fractured eye socket during the WSL defeat to Aston Villa and was absent for the losses to Manchester City and Wolfsburg before the international break.

"Phallon is ready," Skinner said. "She has been training for the last few days, she is ready for selection."

Liverpool captain Grace Fisk, who withdrew from the England squad on Monday with a calf injury, will be out for the "next 10 days", says manager Gareth Taylor.

Speaking to Liverpool's club website, external, Taylor added that the 27-year-old defender's injury has "come at a really bad time" for the Reds.

Liverpool are next in action when they travel to Arsenal on Saturday (12:00 GMT), followed by a trip to Aston Villa five days later on 11 December and a visit to West Ham on 14 December.

"It's a frustrating one and we are quite limited in terms of options with Risa Shimizu still missing," he said.

"Lucy Parry will come into contention but she's on limited minutes in terms of playing 90 minutes, so we'll have to wait and see what we do at right-back."

Fisk has captained her side in all eight of bottom-of-the-table Liverpool's Women's Super League games this season.

She was named in manager Sarina Wiegman's original squad for the first time having been called in to the Lionesses pool during the October window because of Katie Reid's withdrawal.

Everton are currently 10th in the WSL

Everton have confirmed the chief executive of their women's team, Hannah Forshaw, is to leave the club at the end of the season.

She only began her role at the start of this Women's Super League campaign.

"The decision was reached following discussions between Hannah and the club, with both parties in agreement a different long-term direction was appropriate, but that a smooth transition to a new leadership structure can be supported by Hannah remaining as CEO for the current campaign," a statement said.

"The club will provide an update on changes to the leadership structure of Everton Women at the appropriate time later in the season."

There was a wave of optimism surrounding the Toffees at the start of the campaign after showing ambition in the transfer window under new ownership The Friedkin Group, as well as making Goodison Park their permanent home.

However, after winning their opening league game away to Liverpool, Brian Sorensen's side have now gone eight matches without a victory and sit 10th in the table.

Speaking to BBC Sport in September, Forshaw said: "This is the best job in the world. I am incredibly lucky to be here. I'm backed by the ownership group, the team at Everton men's side, the fantastic squad, Brian (Sorensen)."
