Pick of the stats: Portsmouth v Ipswich Townpublished at 11:48 GMT 2 February

Ipswich Town will look to regain their form against relegation battlers Portsmouth when the two meet at Fratton Park on Tuesday (19:45 GMT).
Ipswich have not won either of their past two league games (D1 L1) and as a result have slipped seven points adrift of the top two.
While Pompey are in fine form, undefeated across their past four (W2 D2) to help lift them out of striking distance from the bottom three.
Portsmouth are winless in each of their last five league games against Ipswich Town (D2 L3), since a 2-1 home win in League One in March 2021.
Ipswich won 2-1 at Portman Road in the reverse fixture with Portsmouth in September this season, and could now complete a league double over Pompey for the first time since 2011-12 under Paul Jewell.
Portsmouth are winless in each of their last nine midweek Championship games (Tue/Wed/Thu - D3 L6), since beating Cardiff City 2-1 in February 2025 – Pompey have failed to score in four of their last five midweek games.
Ipswich Town have won only one of their last six Championship away games (D2 L3), and could lose back-to-back league matches on the road outside of the Premier League for the first time since December 2021 in League One.
Portsmouth's Colby Bishop has scored more goals in the Football League against Ipswich Town than any other opponent (6 goals – 3 for Accrington Stanley, 3 for Pompey)

Portsmouth are unbeaten in four games following 3-0 win over West Brom
That was Portsmouth's most comfortable win of the season by some distance.
There was a lot to like about a number of aspects. Pompey were a constant threat going forward in the first half and controlled the game after the break.
This all must be caveated by West Brom being as poor as any side that's turned up at Fratton Park since Pompey returned to the Championship. They are in real trouble despite having a strong squad on paper.
Suddenly the league table looks a lot more promising.
The final hours of the transfer window remain important for Pompey. A couple of further good additions and there should be confidence that Pompey will be a Championship side again next season.

Portsmouth have won just eight league games this season but have moved four points clear of the relegation zone after beating West Brom
Boss John Mousinho said Portsmouth's display in the dominant 3-0 home win over West Bromwich Albion was their "best of the season".
"I was really impressed with the first half. The second half was a different display but it was really professional," Mousinho told BBC Radio Solent.
"From the first minute we pinned them in and won the physical duels.
"The energy and quality was there. And putting those two together is something we have struggled with this season.
"The big thing that has been missing is putting the ball in the back of the net and getting into the final third and creating a bit more. But today we were relentless in terms of getting into the final third and creating chances.
"It was the best performance of the season and an important result."

There's a big game in the battle to avoid being dragged into the relegation zone as Portsmouth welcome West Bromwich Albion to Fratton Park on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
Pompey go into the game sitting 21st, one point above the drop-zone and one place and two points behind Albion.
Sunday's 1-1 draw in the South Coast Derby means John Mousinho's men have taken eight points from their past four home games and earned a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns back in August.
Eric Ramsay picked up his first point as Baggies boss at the third time of asking last time out at Derby, which ended a run of 10 straight defeats on the road, however it was Albion's only point from their past four games.
Portsmouth's last league win against West Brom came in December 2005 (1-0), failing to win their past five against the Baggies (D3 L2).
West Brom have won each of their past three away games against Portsmouth in the second tier, including a 3-0 victory in this exact fixture last season, under Carlos Corberan.
Portsmouth have only lost one of their past eight Championship games (W3 D4); this after losing three in a row and failing to score in all three beforehand (0-3 v Sheffield United, 0-1 v Bristol City and 0-1 v Swansea).
West Brom have the most away defeats in the Championship this season (11) – only once have they suffered more defeats through their first 15 away games of a second tier campaign (12 in 1987/88).
West Brom winger Mikey Johnston is the only player with 50+ chances created (51) and 50+ completed dribbles (52) in the Championship this season.

Keshi Anderson: 'We will stay up'
Keshi Anderson insists Pompey will stay in the Championship this season and is targeting a higher finish than last season.
The winger moved to Fratton Park after his two-and-a-half-year stay at Birmingham was ended by a "30-second phone call".
Anderson made his debut off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Southampton on Sunday. The 30-year-old made just eight starts in all competitions for Blues this season after appearing 37 times as they won League One at a canter last season.
"There were a few options, Portsmouth was the one that was first in my head because the gaffer made it very apparent how much he wanted me," Anderson told BBC Radio Solent.
"Coming into a team where you know you have that kind of love and respect and the want for you makes it so much easier and comfortable to make that decision."
Anderson revealed he had not necessarily been expecting to leave Birmingham this month and added: "It was a 30 second phone call - it sometimes happens in football, it can be a brutal sport.
"To end in the way it did wasn't nice but I wish the boys all the best."
Anderson has been impressed by the intensity at Pompey in training and matches and said they want to extend their one-point advantage over the Championship relegation zone to secure safety in the final 19 games.
"We've got a good team," he said. "Last year they finished 16th, this year from what I gathered the aim is to do better, finish higher and progress.
"We will stay up. The team we have it would be criminal to not [with] the quality I have seen and the intensity in which we do things.
"The main thing is keeping everyone fit and healthy, the squad is very good and we can definitely improve on the league position from last year."
West Brom, one place and two points above Pompey visit Fratton Park on Saturday (15:00 GMT) and Anderson said: "We've had two good draws that we would have liked to have been wins.
"We're searching for that win as a group and we go into the game hungry for that win to hopefully get that momentum going and hopefully go one, two, three four in a row - that's what you need in the Championship, you need to put runs together."

Sheffield Wednesday have rejected a second seven-figure bid from Millwall for Swedish midfielder Svante Ingelsson, 27, while the Lions have also made a £300,000 offer for Owls striker Bailey Cadamarteri with Portsmouth also said to be keen on the 20-year-old. (The Star), external
But after Pompey pursued a second opinion on the issue, it now looks likely that Shaughnessy will return sooner than initially thought.
"Shaughs is a little bit better than we thought and we're looking at about six weeks (out) for him," Mousinho told BBC Radio Solent.
"We expect he will still be able to make a decent impact this season, we're aiming (to have him back) for the game against Hull.
"We were worried at first that it would be a season-ending issue with his quad but now we have the second opinion, we still have to be cautious on it.
"I am still naturally cautious but I'd be absolutely delighted if he's back with us in six weeks' time. I also have to take everything with a pinch of salt and we have to make sure we don't rush him back."
"Hopefully that will be tomorrow [Thursday], we're still monitoring the situation injury wise at the moment on a couple of bits but we feel the players that have come in so far have made a really solid impact.
"If we can have anything before the weekend then great but I think the most important thing is that we come out of the window and we feel stronger than we were going in.
"If we can keep adding and bolstering then it will be good for us.
"I'm pretty confident we can get the players we need, at the minute we have been patient with a few at the back end of the window that we are waiting on.
"It's felt like quite a slow window with not much activity but I suspect there will been the last week."

Listen to the latest Who Needs Mourinho? podcast
Former Portsmouth striker and manager Guy Whittingham says Pompey did well to "dig deep" and earn a point in the south coast derby despite missing key players and fielding a makeshift backline.
Boss John Mousinho was without key attacking duo Josh Murphy and Callum Lang and defender Conor Shaughnessy, while Regan Poole was only fit for a place on the bench after picking up a groin injury at Watford on Tuesday night.
"All credit to them, they've come out of the local derby with a point because I would suggest most Portsmouth fans, when you saw the team news, you were confused," Whittingham told the Who Needs Mourinho? podcast.
"You saw Poole on the bench, thinking 'if he's on the bench, why isn't he playing for a start?'
"Then seeing [Zak] Swanson alongside Ibane Bowat as your two centre-halves. But credit to them."
Bowat was also forced off midway through the second half, meaning Portsmouth ended the game with four full-backs playing in the back four.
All things considered, Whittingham praised Pompey for "finding a way, staying in the game and battling" their way to a draw at Fratton Park.
Whittingham joined BBC Radio Solent hosts Chris Wise and Andy Moon on the podcast, which you can listen to in full on BBC Sounds.
