Derek McInnes has won a third successive Scottish Premiership manager of the month award after table-topping Hearts maintained their blistering unbeaten start.
The Jambos are nine points clear after three wins in October - against Hibs, Kilmarnock and Celtic - plus a draw at St Mirren.
"Any award, be it individually or collectively, is great for the club," said McInnes.
"It's reflective of the hard work that everybody puts in, so to be recognised for it is pleasing.
"We've had a brilliant first round of fixtures and now the focus is on the next round and trying to keep progressing."
Shankland eyes World Cup after Scotland recallpublished at 12:14 GMT 7 November 2025

Lawrence Shankland has his sights on next year's World Cup after returning to the Scotland squad for this month's qualifiers against Greece and Denmark.
The Hearts captain took his tally for the season to 10 goals in last weekend's 4-0 win over Dundee, which extended the Edinburgh club's Premiership lead to nine points.
The 30-year-old was overlooked for the first four games of Scotland's campaign, with a play-off place already assured after three wins and a draw.
"It's good to be back involved," said Shankland, who won the last of his 16 caps almost a year ago.
"Obviously it's been a wee while, now I'm back in, which I've done a few times to be fair.
"I've always found that if I'm in good form and scoring goals, I've had a shout at getting selected.
"I'm in a good place, the club's in a good place."
Shankland was chosen for Euro 2024, appearing as a late substitute in all three group games for Steve Clarke's side.
"I've had a taste of a major tournament and to go and be involved with Scotland at the World Cup is obviously an ambition," he added. "Hopefully we can go and do that."
A win or a draw in Athens followed by victory over Denmark at Hampden would earn Scotland top spot in Group C and automatic qualification.
Shankland is joined in the squad by Tynecastle team-mate Craig Gordon, who is likely to add to his 81 caps despite not playing a first-team game this season.
"He'll be ready," he said of the veteran goalkeeper. "He's shown that in the past when he's not been playing and he's been required be that either at club or international level.
"He trains properly, keeps himself right and, if he's called upon, I'm confident we're ready to go."

After their 3-2 victory in August, Hearts are looking for successive league wins over Dundee United within a single season for the first time since November 2021.
Dundee United won their two league visits to Tynecastle last season (both 1-0), just one fewer than their previous 16 top-flight away games at Hearts (W3 D5 L8).
Hearts have 29 points in their 11 league games (W9 D2 L0), while a victory here would make this the best start after 12 games of a Scottish top-flight season by a non-Old Firm club since 2005-06, when Hearts had 32 points from their opening 12.
Dundee United have won just one of their past seven away league games (D3 L3), beating Dundee 2-0 in August.
Lawrence Shankland is the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership this season with seven goals. He has netted in his last three league games and could become the first player to score in four in a row for Hearts since doing it himself in February 2024.
No concerns about financial woes despite latest lossespublished at 10:25 GMT 6 November 2025

While everything on the park at Tynecastle is rosy, the club's financial results could have been much better.
The £400,000 loss may not seem much, and who can blame supporters for thinking they can handle this, especially with on-field activities going so well?
There is also no doubt the business side of the club has performed exceptionally well.
With regular sellout crowds, there is little surprise gate receipts were up 10% to more than £6.5m, with commercial revenue also increased by a similar figure. Hearts also received more than £7.5m from Uefa.
And with Tony Bloom's cash investment, there are certainly no concerns about financial woes.
However, a year from now, the figures are likely to be very different and those in charge of the finances could have a few headaches to deal with.
Wages, social security and pension costs have risen to more than £19m and, with the new additions to the playing staff in the summer, this figure is likely to be even higher for the current financial year. Furthermore, there is no revenue from European football this season.
This could all be offset by player sales and success on the pitch. Should Hearts win the league this season, or even finish second, fans will not care one jot about potential losses.
And with Bloom and his Jamestown Analytics recruitment model now firmly in place, it would be no surprise if such losses within the foreseeable future become a thing of the past.
McInnes not expecting issues with Chesnokov signingpublished at 17:41 GMT 5 November 2025

Hearts head coach Derek McInnes is not anticipating any problems with the signing of Khazakstan forward Islam Chesnokov in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has signed a pre-contract with Hearts in the summer but reports from his homeland earlier this week intimated a problem with the move.
McInnes is due to speak to the Tobol player next week with a view to ensuring he is ready to come to Edinburgh next month and be ready to play after the window opens in January.
"I don't know where the reports came from, that there was an issue, but certainly we feel our ongoing conversations with Islam and his representatives is there," McInnes said.
"We've got pre-contract signed and agreed and the intention is just to make sure that we get him over and get him in training over a period in December. The long and short it is, there's been no indication of any issues and we don't anticipate any.
"I'm due to speak to him again next week, but these conversations have been ongoing with Islam and his agents between the club.
"It's not as if we just spoke to him six months ago and then we just went quiet. These have been ongoing conversations, obviously there's a lot to discuss in terms of paperwork and visas and things like that, but all very positive."
Other media reports this week suggested Kilmarnock were looking to sign a Hearts goalkeeper on an emergency loan, with Zander Clark and Craig Gordon touted as possible options for the Rugby Park club.
"Nothing's come across my desk with that," McInnes said. "There was a brief conversation maybe had with people above me. It never went anywhere, that, so it's never been put to me or any goalkeepers."

Hearts head coach Derek McInnes has been speaking to the media before Sunday's Premiership home match against Dundee United.
Here are the main points from his media conference:
There are no problems anticipated with Kazakhstan winger Islam Chesnokov's expected arrival from Tobol next month despite recent reports, external the move was on the brink of collapse.
On Kilmarnock trying sign a Hearts goalkeeper on an emergency loan this week: "Nothing's come across my desk with that. I think there was a brief conversation maybe had with people above me. It never went anywhere, so it's never been put to me or any goalkeepers."
Hearts currently have "a gaggle" of six keepers and McInnes says it provides "real healthy competition".
He is confident Craig Gordon will be ready to start for Scotland, if selected, despite not having played this season: "I think what would help him is the fact he's got the experience to deal with that. He's been back training now without any real hesitation or any real stoppages for a good four to five weeks."
Hearts have achieved their first "mini target" by being top of the table after the first round of games, and are there "on merit" without "scraping results" too often.
McInnes adds: "And there's nothing for me to feel as if there's going to be any downturn in our performances. We just need to keep our shoulders at the wheel, recognise we need to keep improving, keep trying to win that fight with ourselves to get better. And hopefully we can pick up wins as we do that."
On Hearts becoming a huge story UK-wide and being seen as genuine challengers: "I can understand all that, because it is unusual and I get the interest in it and I get the amount of conversations it is. But I think it can start to become a wee bit more believable and a bit more meat on the bone if we get through the next round of fixtures."
McInnes says some of his players could attract interest in the January window but he has had "assurances" there will be no requirement to let anyone go.
On whether he has the best team in Scotland: "I'm really enjoying managing this team and I think at the minute, in form, we're the best team because we're top of the league. But you get judged about being the best team at the end of the season and that's fact, so it doesn't matter what anybody thinks."
McInnes says Dundee United will come to Edinburgh believing they can get a result and that's the way the top flight is.
Team news: Defender Frankie Kent is available for his first appearance since August and midfielder Ageu has trained after missing out last weekend.

Former Hearts striker Mike Tullberg admits he is enjoying seeing his old side charge clear at the Scottish Premiership summit as he prepares to do battle with Celtic in the Europa League.
The 39-year-old Dane is currently head coach of Midtjylland, but played seven games on loan at Csaba Laszlo's Hearts from Italian side Reggina in the 2008-09 season.
"When I was in Scotland, Hearts were not on top of Celtic. But of course, as an old Hearts player, you're always following the teams where you played yourself," Tullberg said.
"I didn't play for such a long time because I was injured, but I had a great time at Hearts. Not on the pitch, because I was injured, but outside the pitch.
"I still have some friends over there and of course I'm happy about the situation."
How fixture schedule can aid Hearts title bidpublished at 11:57 GMT 4 November 2025

Hearts' frenetic pace at the top of the Scottish Premiership shows no signs of slowing. I know Celtic have a game in hand but seeing us nine points clear in early November is still positively barmy.
There are plenty of people expecting the Tynecastle title tilt to regress, but given the fixture list over the next three months, Hearts have a massive advantage over our nearest challengers.
Following the postponement of the St Mirren game in December, Hearts have 12 games until the end of January. Second-place Celtic have 18 matches in the same period. Potentially 19 if their postponed game against Falkirk gets slotted in midweek in early January.
Hearts are essentially playing once a week and with a squad depth most – if not all – Premiership sides would envy, we should be able to maintain a freshness for the next round of fixtures and keep motoring along.
Plans are already under way for January recruitment, which should see a couple of quality additions for the starting line-up including Kazakhstan winger Islam Chesnokov, plus a raft of departures.
There could be a goalkeeping departure sooner, with Kilmarnock reportedly asking us for a loan goalkeeper for their clash for Celtic on Sunday. Given it's likely to only be a one-game agreement, Hearts have the ability to do something really funny and allow Craig Gordon to go on loan and help Kilmarnock stifle our title rivals.
I'm expecting the Dundee United game on Saturday to be arguably our toughest match at Tynecastle so far this season.
As Derek McInnes said after the first round of fixtures about "putting down a marker" and staying on top, we need to start over and ensure we've got the hunger and desire to put a determined United to the sword.

Steve Clarke says it is "important" to have free-scoring Hearts captain Lawrence Shankland back in his Scotland squad because "if you need someone in the squad for goals, Lawrence is your man".
Shankland takes the place of Hibernian striker Kieron Bowie and joins Che Adams, Lyndon Dykes and George Hirst as Clarke's forward options for this month's crucial World Cup qualifying double-header against Greece and Denmark.
A recall to the squad is a reward for Shankland's stunning start to the season, in which he has scored 10 goals in all competitions for the Scottish Premiership leaders.
"Lawrence has been good, he's hit the ground running again this season," Clarke said. "His team are flying at the top of the league. Lawrence is getting his goals.
"If you need someone in the squad for goals, Lawrence is your man."
"He's shown he can be a part of the Scotland squad before. He's been involved in a lot of squads, he's got the experience.
"I think in these two games coming up we're going to need experienced players and Lawrence has certainly got that experience to help us.
"I have a good relationship with most of my players. Lawrence is one. We are always very honest with each other.
"He's a good player. He's a striker who lives on goals, thrives on goals. He's the captain of a Hearts team who're doing very well at the moment.
"He's in a good place and when you've got a striker in a good place scoring goals, it's important to get them involved."

One only has to look at the Scottish Premiership table to get a sense of the optimism surrounding Hearts - nine points clear of Celtic, the best attacking record in the division by far and the second-best defensive record.
After a 2-2 draw at St Mirren in midweek, Derek McInnes' side returned to winning ways in fine style with a 4-0 victory over Dundee on Saturday.
Michael Steinwender, Blair Spittal and Pierre Landry Kabore all came into the starting XI as McInnes freshened things up and the tweaks paid off.
"They have got a brilliant thing going," former Hearts winger Neil McCann said on Sportscene.
"A lot of people were looking as if the bubble had burst at St Mirren, but a draw isn't such a bad result.
"There's a freedom about the squad and a bravery about the manager."
'The most complete Hearts team I've ever seen... They're a joy to watch'published at 14:05 GMT 2 November 2025

We asked for your views on Hearts' 4-0 win against Dundee.
Here's what some of you said:
Chris: I don't think we really got out of first gear, which is crazy considering the score line. Cammy Devlin and Beni Baningime in the middle of the park complement each other fantastically. We need to give Devlin whatever he wants to get him on a long-term deal. Nine points clear and playing with swagger. Uncharted and exciting times to be a Jambo.
Stevie: A very professional victory which didn't come with the high-octane energy we have come to expect - but if truth be told, it wasn't required. Dundee were poor. Nine points clear as winter comes in, having just checked the weather it looks like a chilly, I heard it's -14 down at Easter Road!
Peter: Pierre Landry Kabore comes out of the wings and looks the part on centre stage! Lawrence Shankland is thriving on the competition around him and we see Blair Spittal make the most of being in the starting line-up, with Tomas Magnusson replacing him and scoring!
Strength in depth and a high level of determination, we are really shaping up now, with even better to come from this team and its astute manager.
Ray: Only a few issues, lack of pace at the back in transition and require more guile to unlock behind the ball. So many options up front. James Wilson a concern for Scottish football, he is nowhere to be seen. Think the signings are great for the cost, still unsure if the manager is as good as they are.
Alan: I'd love to hear Champions League music at Tynecastle soon. So far this is a dream come true. But I'd not celebrate until it's mathematically impossible to beat us to the title. Then we can get Rangers and Celtic back by playing a youth team in last part of season like they usually do.
Alex: This is probably the most complete Hearts team I've ever seen in terms of fitness, speed, fight and flair, they're a joy to watch. Have to continue to take one game at a time, and purely focus on winning the next battle.

Hearts head coach Derek McInnes watched his side post "a good reference point" by going nine points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership and warned rivals that his squad is "getting stronger".
Dundee had taken points off of Rangers and Celtic this season, but left Tynecastle with a 4-0 defeat.
"We're delighted with it," McInnes said. "We said the point at St Mirren [in midweek] would be a brilliant and important point if we won today - and that's the way it has been.
"A few weeks ago, we set a challenge to players, 'can we be above Celtic before we play them?'. And then 'can we be top of the league after the first round of fixtures?'.
"We've boxed off that little section now and we need to go again for the start of the next round.
"It's a good reference point for me in the sense of what can be done and there are some difficult fixtures amongst that, some difficult challenges, and I feel as though the squad's getting stronger."
Lawrence Shankland's opener was followed by first Hearts goals for Landry Kabore and Tomas Magnusson.
"Once we got in front, and it was a brilliant goal from Lawrence, like all good teams I thought we never looked back from that," McInnes added.
"I'm delighted for big Landry to get off the mark. I thought he led the line brilliantly with Lawrence.
"We looked a wee bit leggy at times, but we were in charge of the game, which is the most important thing."

Derek McInnes and Steven Pressley last went head to head as managers in 2010 when they led St Johnstone and Falkirk respectively
Former Tynecastle skipper Steven Pressley believes the stability at Hearts helps makes them a "powerful force" as his Dundee side try to stun the Premiership leaders this weekend.
Pressley knows how tricky a task it will be against this Hearts side having spent eight years in Gorgie, as well as captaining the club during their blistering start to the 2005-06 season before manager George Burley was sacked.
Asked whether the current campaign brought back memories of 20 years ago, Pressley replied: "Yes, but [the manager] has not been sacked, and I can't see them changing three or four managers in this season!
"The good thing for them is that they have got much more stability around the decision-making at the football club than what we had during that period."
While Pressley played under Burley, John McGlynn [as a caretaker], Graham Rix and Valdas Ivanauskas that season, Hearts are a lot more settled under head coach Derek McInnes.
And the former Hearts centre-half has been very impressed by what McInnes is doing in his few months in the capital.
"For a team, at this stage of the season, to be six points ahead of Celtic surprises everyone, let's be honest," he said.
"But the one thing that doesn't surprise me is that they have got a very astute and a very knowledgeable head coach that understands the game, and he also very much understands Hearts as a football club.
"I think it is a football club where if you get some early results, and you get the momentum and you get the support behind you, they can become a very powerful force and we are seeing that at present."
Despite both turning out for Rangers and Dundee United during their playing days, McInnes and Pressley only played together once - for Scotland in a 2002 friendly defeat to Portugal.
