It was hot work for the players this morning as they got on the grass at the Atrium Performance Park.
At 10am this morning, it was 28 degrees and muggy.
On day one of the media being access to training, there was a sizeable Scottish contingent, as well as a few folks from elsewhere.
There was also a nice touch from Steve Clarke before training started. coming over to say hello and exchanging some pleasantries.
A friendly start, in what looked like a relaxed session in the sun.

It feels like the first day of school here.
While it's the place the players and staff will be calling home, it's also where the Scottish media will be spending most of the next three weeks, getting a wee deek at training as well as having the chance to speak to members of the squad.
We all got a lovely welcome this morning, with a wee goody bag. A bucket hat, some cheese popcorn - not for me - and some factor 50 sun cream. All about knowing your audience.
There's plenty working space, with wee individual booths - which include a mirror - so we can get our head down and bring you the best from the Scotland camp.

Day one behind the scenes in Charlotte
We are actually in World Cup week now. Wild.
Calling in from Charlotte...
Hello from the Atrium Health Performance Park, home of Charlotte FC and Scotland's base camp for the 2026 World Cup.
Still need to say it in full to make it sound real. It doesn't.
It's day one here and John McGinn is speaking to the media shortly...
