That's what is happening with Tottenham. They have a lot of good players but until they get very good players they will continue to be inconsistent.

When I think of teams who win the league, I always think of a great goalkeeper. Chelsea haven't got a great goalkeeper. When you think of what Arsenal did a few years ago, they were never going to win the league with Aaron Ramsdale. They brought Raya in, he's a better keeper and it gives them a greater chance.

I just think Chelsea will miss out but they're definitely in the race.

Emile Smith Rowe got a few injuries at Arsenal at the wrong time, when they were strengthening the ranks. By the time he got back fit, he had probably missed the boat a bit.

I think he still has a lot to offer in the Premier League and whoever took him was going to reap the benefits and I think he looks influential in this Fulham team. In the long run it will turn out to be a good move.

I think this was a build-up of Tottenham fans from the last 10 years. I think they thought Ange would be the person to come in and change it and it doesn't seem that he has consistently done that. They have got this way of playing and they won't change or adapt it. If the results aren't going the way you want it to go, you have got to adapt.

Fulham manager Marco Silva speaking to Sky Sports about the fixture schedule: "It is part of the management we have to do. We knew it was going to be like that. Unfortunately for us, we don't have some players. It is not easy to do it and we have been able to have those players ready to go. Today is going to be the same. On facing Arsenal: "They are always prepared but I believe it is normal. Some things they are different but sometimes in your mind you have an idea and that is normal. Last season's results give us trust that we can try and do the same again. We have a plan and something we are going to try and explore, knowing you are playing one of the best teams in the division.

"We know their strengths. We know the parts they are not so strong as well. Last season and this season we dealt with the set-pieces well and we were really focused in those moments. Let's hope we can do the same. It is part of the game. You have to be a proper team and team that is able to respond to everything they will demand from us. Let's see who is going to be strongest."

Let's be honest we all owe Chelsea a bit of an apology don't we?

We, OK I, thought they were losing the plot by changing managers and signing quite so many players but maybe it turned out they knew what they were doing all along...

Chelsea look good and more remarkably they look settled. The late game should be a cracker.

Arsenal

Arsenal have scored 5+ goals in five different away games in all competitions so far in 2024 – no English top-flight side has ever done so six times in a single calendar year (Sunderland in 1892 and Man City in 1937 also 5).

Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has made just one change to the side who beat West Ham in his first game in charge.

Facundo Buonanotte cannot play against his parent club so Jordan Ayew comes in.

Kieran McKenna's side are killing me in my predictions. So far they have been the kind of team that are always in games, but they have a little bit of softness about them that means they are not winning when I expect them to.

I have a feeling it could be a similar story here. It's great to see sell-out crowds again at Portman Road after the club spent years in the wilderness but there is a reason they are still yet to win at home.

In contrast, Bournemouth have had a great week, absolutely battering Wolves and then backing it up by beating Spurs.

I have been backing Ipswich blindly but maybe I have to stop doing that now. They really need to recover after their result against Palace and maybe they can scramble something here, but I can't see it.

West Ham United

Some positive news overnight - West Ham say striker Michail Antonio is in a stable condition and "conscious and communicating" after a car crash.

In a statement on Saturday evening, West Ham said Antonio is "currently under close supervision at a central London hospital".

The Premier League club added: "At this difficult time, we kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of Michail and his family.

"The club will make no further comment this evening, but will issue a further update in due course."

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna makes five changes to side that lost 1-0 at Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Harry Clarke, Jack Clarke, Wes Burns and Jens Cajuste drop to the bench with Jacob Greaves missing out on the matchday squad.

Ben Johnson, Cameron Burgess, Jack Taylor, Sammie Szmodics and Conor Chaplin come in.

I am not fooled by what Leicester did against West Ham, as big a win as it was for them.

The Hammers wasted so many chances, and the Foxes' defensive issues have clearly not gone away.

Well done to new Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy, but he has got a hell of a job on his hands to keep them up.

I did not see Brighton's defeat at Fulham coming, because the Seagulls have been so impressive. They will be angry after that performance, and looking to prove a point. Away win, no doubt about it.
