"We knew it was going to be tough but we trust that when we play our football it will be fine."

On Cole Palmer: "We have amazing players like Cole. When he scores big goals, he calms us down and hopefully it continues in the future."

On coming back in games: "We were 2-0 down but none of the players were panicking, we knew we would create chances."

On being in the title race: "We have still got a lot to improve on, when we're ready to push for a title we won't be 2-0 down in the first 10 minutes. That's the level we need to be at and that's what we need to keep working on."

Tottenham Hotspur

Rangers, Southampton, Manchester United and Liverpool are all to come for Spurs before Christmas.

It's a packed schedule on three fronts and they're not blessed with defenders. Interesting.

I love Cole Palmer's interviews because he doesn't say he is the best in front of cameras. He's not here to do that, he is here to be the best on the pitch.

He plays like he is with his mates on the playground. The game was at 3-2, still tight and if he had missed it, it would have given Spurs a lift and made it difficult for his team. He is just that confident that he is going to score that he does the Panenka.

I think he is a superstar. I think Man City look now and say 'wow, we let one go.' They don't often make mistakes like that but they will be looking at Palmer like that now.

For me, he is the best player in the Premier League at the moment.

This is Chelsea's biggest game of the season, going to Tottenham and winning, going second in the league, four points behind Liverpool.

They've got a big squad. They're in the title race. They might not go on and win it but they're in it at the moment and they're Liverpool's biggest threat.

That's why the camera pans to Deniel Lvey, because he knows the pressure and where they are struggling.

You would probably feel that if you score three at home you shouldn't lose the game but not with this Tottenham team because they are far too open.

You can't keep playing like that. I get that it is entertaining but I want to see my team win football matches.

The players that started did an excellent job but the subs made a great impact. The squad is doing a great job and getting results.

"We did really well in the second half and we had to change the pressure. We were chasing the 1-1 and we got done on the break with the pace of Minteh. We had to chase the game with an extra striker next to Jamie. We had to go for it and it paid off.

"I thought we were really good in the second half. We won the duels and we were winning the ball. We got done on the counter-attack but I felt we were in the game and I trusted the process of the sibs and the tactics and the players did the rest.

"I completed my first full week today which is crazy. I did the first meeting with the players and tried to set a cause on foundation and spirit moving into the season. I can only thank the players. It's a tremendous league to survive in."

That's what teams do that are in the title race. They might not play well for the whole game but second half I thought Chelsea were outstanding.

He made the changes and I bet he was panicking at the end, Maresca. Chelsea are definitely title contenders.
