Hope Mansfield's heads don't drop, they've played excellent so far and deserved a goal - definitely aren't out of it, if they keep playing like they have.

Roberts did well to save the original shot but then Martinelli's patience to play it back to Madueke, and then it's too much for Roberts to get anything on it.

They have been brilliant so far and Liam Roberts pushes away the initial effort but it comes to Noni Madueke and he curls a sumptuous shot into the top corner.

Marli Salmon has been given a lot of responsibility by Mikel Arteta despite just being 16-years-old and making his first start for the club.
The defender is helping to build up attacks, starting centrally as well as moving out wide and he has also been trusted to battle against the physical Mansfield forwards.
He's shown why he is so highly rated by everyone at the club.

I love how vocal the crowd are being. For such a tiny number (relatively speaking), they're at a higher volume than some Premier League games I've seen this season. 12th man or what?! And they'll be needed as this game goes on, to lift any tired legs.

Max Dowman is a delight to watch. The way he carries the ball, and he glides past players.
Often he offloads it at the right time. His vision and understanding of the game is phenomenal for someone so young.
The problem he's having at the moment is Arsenal are so good, and he is not getting the game-time he wants, but you have to be so careful with how you bed him into it. The game is different physically it is so different from youth football. He knows how to find space, and he is constantly looking over his shoulder.
His decision-making for such a young player - he is incredible.

If Mansfield can get to halftime at 0-0 they would probably be happy with that.
Having said that, the way they've played they'll probably be disappointed not to have the lead.

Arsenal’s formation isn’t going to help them: basically six forwards, three defenders and just Norgaard in midfield. He can’t link everything on his own and will get overwhelmed.

This is the 11th FA Cup tie between Newcastle and Man City – the Citizens have progressed from the last two in the quarter-finals in 2019-20 and 2023-24, having only progressed in two of the first eight ties against the Magpies.
Manchester City knocked Newcastle out in the League Cup semi-finals this season – the only two teams to eliminate the Magpies from both the League Cup and FA Cup in a season are Wimbledon in 1987-88 and Arsenal in 2007-08.
Newcastle have progressed from nine of their last 10 FA Cup fifth round ties, although they were beaten 2-1 by Brighton at this stage last season. Two of those nine fifth round wins came against Manchester City in 1994-95 and 2001-02.
Manchester City have won 18 of their last 20 matches in the FA Cup across the last four seasons, losing only in the finals in 2024 against Man Utd and 2025 against Crystal Palace. In the third, fourth and fifth rounds, City have won their last 23 games in the FA Cup by an aggregate score of 89-11 since losing 1-0 to Wigan in the 2017-18 fifth round.
