Brilliantly brave header from Kai Havertz to give Arsenal a lead that their positivity deserved.
There will be Wolves disappointment that they weren’t out quicker to close to Bukayo Saka’s cross for that goal, but they’ve defended competently otherwise. It’s not easy to shackle this Arsenal team, but they’ve made it tough.

Given Forest's very public VAR rows last season, the irony of benefitting from a tight call on the opening day will not be lost.
For those waiting for additional clarity from the new Premier League Match Centre's Twitter account, aimed at providing answers for fans, it came about five minutes after the goal was ruled out.
The close-call should serve as a warning for Forest, though, as Bournemouth had barely threatened before then.

Loving how incisive Forest have been in this first half. Nuno has had his first pre-season (which was very good) and, fingers crossed, we continue playing like his Wolves team did. Best wishes to Danilo though.

Arsenal have been good today. They have enjoyed the lion's share of possession and have looked very fluid, they've been camped out in the Wolves half for the majority of the game so far.
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have look a threat on the wings, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice have done well higher up the pitch as well.
Comfortable for Arsenal but Wolves did have that big chance midway through the half.

West Ham have lost just one of their last 12 Premier League games against Aston Villa (W6 D5), a 4-1 loss at Villa Park last season.
Aston Villa are winless in their last nine Premier League away games against West Ham (D5 L4), since a 2-1 victory at Upton Park in April 2011.
West Ham have lost on five of the six occasions they’ve begun a Premier League campaign against a side who finished in the previous season’s top four. The only exception was a 2-0 away win at Arsenal in 2015-16.
West Ham have won their opening Premier League match in just one of the last eight seasons (D1 L6), beating Newcastle 4-2 in 2021-22. Indeed, the Hammers have lost their opening game in the Premier League more often than any other side (15).
Aston Villa have lost their opening Premier League match in each of the last three seasons, conceding 10 goals in these games. They also lost the last time they faced West Ham in their first game, going down 1-0 at Upton Park in 2012-13.
