Mads Hermansen does well to save Nicolas Jackson's shot but it is straight into the path of Palmer, whose only obstacle to goal is Madueke.

Madueke does his very best to try and jump out of the way but Palmer's shot hits him and rolls out for a goal-kick. Very unfortunate.

It's taken a few minutes in this second half but signs of Chelsea getting back on top in this match.

The visitors earn a corner as they look to dampen Leicester's hopes of achieving a result but Cole Palmer can't beat the first man.

Bilal El Khannouss is looking to get on the ball and drive Leicester forward at every opportunity, but there's no way through on this occasion.

Wilfred Ndidi, who must tread carefully after his early yellow card, is penalised for a push. He won't be allowed too many more of those.

Yep, Steve Cooper has seen enough in that first half to encourage his side to be a little more expansive and the Foxes are seeing plenty of possession in the early stages of the first half.

Chelsea need to rediscover their rhythm.

This cold weather can be tough on the muscles, so we'll let him off.

A much more positive start to this half for Leicester, already looking to get forward and maintain their momentum.

There is one change to report at the break, but it concerns the officials.

Leigh Doughty is taking over as a linesman, with the injured Mark Scholes switching to fourth official.

I think unfortunately the teams getting relegated this year will more than likely be the three that came up [last season].

I like how they have come in and tried to stamp their game on the Premier League, Southampton and Ipswich especially, it is really refreshing that they have kept doing things their way.

But I think the likes of Wolves and Crystal Palace will have too much for them.

Nicolas Jackson took full advantage of Wout Faes' inability to clear the ball with an excellent touch and finish to put Chelsea ahead.

A player full of confidence right now, the 23-year-old has scored seven goals in the Premier League this season - and only Erling Haaland (18) has scored more in the competition since the beginning of May than Jackson (11).

After taking time to settle in his first season at Stamford Bridge, he really is beginning to thrive as Chelsea's frontman.

The good news for Chelsea is that they are unbeaten in their last 30 Premier League games in which they've led at half time.

They should have been out of sight based on the first half of the opening 45 minutes but they have given Leicester encouragement with some sloppy attempts at playing out from the back - and the Foxes undoubtedly improved as the half wore on.

As frustrated as Steve Cooper will be he will be disappointed to have not scored a goal.

Leicester have had two great chances and when you play against a team like Chelsea you have to be ruthless.

Chelsea take a narrow lead into the break, but after a slow start Leicester will take plenty of encouragement from how they ended that first half.

Four minutes of stoppage-time have been added on at the end of the first half, and you can't rule out either side getting at least one more big chance. It's become rather open, and very entertaining - for the neutral at least.
