Lewis Cook is in the thick of things once again - but this time he is convinced he should have been awarded a penalty after making his way into the Brighton box and being sent to the ground by Pervis Estupinan.
His protests are dismissed but an arm definitely came out from Estupinan. Whether that was enough to bring Cook down, only he knows.

Dean is absolutely right. Saka, Palmer, Colwill and probably Foden all playing today having been declared injured by their clubs whereas other teams are not at full strength because players got injured on international duty (for example Konsa and Onana for Villa). I believe any player who withdraws from an international squad should not be eligible to play the next 2 league games.

Spot on from Dean, no chance any of those players were not fit for England, should be some form of consequence for the club for players dropping out unless they were missing games beforehand or are ruled out by England medical staff

It really is a wonderful piece of technique to bring that down and finish it so quickly.

There's been a bit of encouragement for Wolves after falling behind. They work it well on the edge of the box as Joao Gomes finds Rodrigo Gomes wide left in the box.
Should he have shot? I think so but he decides to cross and Fulham clear.
Bournemouth 0-1 Brighton
Brighton's only two attempts so far were Georginio Rutter's saved shot which led to Joao Pedro's opener.
Since then the Seagulls have had to absorb plenty of pressure, but there's still no way through for Bournemouth as we approach the half-hour mark.
Justin Kluivert is the latest to go close for the hosts, side-footing wide with a first-time effort.

Everton could really do with a win today - as they then heading towards a mammoth run of tough fixtures against the likes of Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea. Will be intriguing to observe whether Sean Dyche will be able to navigate such a run without the pressure of the new ownership changing him in January

I'm afraid the Emery honeymoon period is well over for me. Whilst some blame can go to injuries and Champions League games, we aren't good enough in all areas. Martinez is poor this season and Watkins a shadow of what he was last season. Mid-table finish at best I fear.

Manchester City have won just three of their last 10 Premier League games against Tottenham (D2 L5) and are looking to win consecutive meetings with them for the first time since April 2019.
Tottenham have scored at least twice in each of their last three Premier League away games against Man City, winning 3-2 in 2021-22, losing 4-2 in 2022-23 and drawing 3-3 last season. No team has ever scored multiple goals in four consecutive Premier League visits to the Citizens.
Manchester City have lost each of their last four matches in all competitions. It’s Pep Guardiola’s longest losing run in his entire managerial career, while the Citizens last lost more consecutively between March and April 2006 under Stuart Pearce (6 – the fifth game of which was against Tottenham).
