Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to Sky Sports: "The chances were there. We created a lot. We did everything after a demanding game three days ago. It was demanding, it was not easy. We played a good game where we missed some goals."

On his frustrations in the second half: "I was not frustrated, why would I be? We won three points, we are top of the league. Of course we can do better but the guys did everything."

On the dip in performance compared to against Arsenal: "I disagree. We made a better performance in terms of chances than on Sunday. Arsenal are extraordinary, but the performace itself was really good."

On the feeling of being top: "Five games, it's the Premier League. Five games and now we have a semi-final on Saturday. Then we try to prepare the next games.

"It's a big opportunity to play four finals in a row. Maybe we have to make some changes. At the end we were a little bit tired but we are ready."

On when he can expect Rodri back: "I don't know yet. Day by day we see."

  3. 'That's the advice I got off Alan Shearer'published at 22:24 BST 22 April

    FT: Bournemouth 2-2 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds goalscorer Sean Longstaff, speaking to Sky Sports: "Bournemouth are the only team I seem to score against but I'll take them when they come. I just tried to make sure I got half decent contact with the ball.

"In those situations you don't really try and pick a spot, just hit it as hard as you can. That's the advice I got off Alan Shearer a few years ago."

On the game overall: "They are a good side, when you come here the pitch feels tight and cramped so people feel they have less time than they do. They're one of the best pressing teams in the league. We knew it was going to be tough. Everyone performed really well and I think we deserved a point in the end."

On Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea: "All we can do is focus on us. We've been on a good run of form since the international break, we've not lost so we're carrying on that confidence and ultimately we are a team that's together and we work so hard for each other. If we take out chances when they come it could be a really special day for the football club."

Saddle Tramp: I think Man City have just handed the initiative back to Arsenal. Yes, they may be top but when it could come down to goal difference, 1-0 against Burnley isn't good enough. Burnley still have to go to the Emirates. I can't see Arsenal letting them off with a 1-0.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to Match of the Day: "We played a really good game, unfortunately we missed a lot of chances. We defended better in the second half. Second half we had less problems."

On a difficult game after the intensity of facing Arsenal: "It was such a demanding game on Sunday. It is not easy after three days but in the Premier League you have to adjust. We are used to doing it. We competed really well, we made a really good game but it's a pity the chances we had."

On how his side need to keep winning: "Now we have the FA Cup on Saturday and after that we have five games. The only chance is to win all the games."
