    Friday result: Coleraine 2-0 Glenavon

Joel Cooper and Jamie McGonigle were on target as Coleraine defeated bottom side Glenavon 2-0 at the Showgrounds.

The Bannsiders broke the deadlock midway through the opening half through leading scorer Joel Cooper.

On-loan Lincoln City winger Zane Okoro, set clear by Mark Coyle, raced down the right before cutting the ball back into the path of the former Linfield man who took a touch before blasting low to the net from 12 yards.

The home side doubled their lead with just over 10 minutes remaining when sub Jamie McGonigle netted.

Dylan Boyle's pass with the outside of his foot released Dean Jarvis on the left wing and he crossed first time for McGonigle to race in and slip the ball under Jacob Carney for his fourth of the season.

  3. Larne's Ryan 'a clever striker' - Haveronpublished at 14:10 GMT 24 January

    Friday result: Larne 2-1 Bangor

Larne manager Gary Haveron praised "ruthless" Andy Ryan after his side's 2-1 victory over 10-man Bangor at Inver Park, during which the striker netted twice.

Ryan was making his first start of the season following a long-term knee injury and netted twice in the first half against the Seasiders.

Bangor did pull a goal back through substitute Ben Cushnie shortly after the restart, but they couldn't find an equaliser.

"We always knew he was coming back and how key he would be for the second part of the season," Haveron told BBC Sport NI.

"That is what Andy Ryan does, he is absolutely ruthless when he gets into the box.

"He is a clever striker and scores all sorts of goals. He is so good and I was delighted to see him get his goals tonight."
