The rain is absolutely chucking it down in Suffolk and the home fans, despite seeing their side concede after only 26 seconds, are still in great voice, buoyed by two chances in a minute.

Jens Cajuste, who is keeping England international Kalvin Phillips out of the starting line-up, fired just over from the left side of the penalty area, before Conor Chaplin released Sammie Szmodics only for Martin Dubravka, quick off his line, to block the effort.

But Newcastle should've been gone and away with their lead already. After Alexander Isak's goal, Sandro Tonali curled just over and Anthony Gordon, the wrong side of a home defender, had a free header but headed it down into the ground and it bounced up and over Arijanet Muric's goal.

Isak should then have had his second but could only shoot at Muric when through on goal.

Jacob Murphy is running the show here. He plays a superb ball through the defence to find Alexander Isak, but the striker shoots straight at Arijanet Muric.

Newcastle will be annoyed if they let Ipswich back into this, they've had several chances to get a second.

Yoane Wissa almost capitalises on a catalogue of errors in the Forest defence to give the hosts the lead.

Murillo misses the ball completely before Morato sends an attempted clearance high into the air. Wissa is first to the loose ball but steers his effort narrowly over the crossbar.

Suddenly Newcastle break three on two with Ipswich committing players to an attack. The ball is worked to Jacob Murphy inside the box but his cross is blocked well by Sam Morsy.

That's better from Ipswich.

First, Jens Cajuste - yet to score for Ipswich - wriggles away from a defender and fires a shot at goal but it goes over the bar, before Sammie Szmodics is in on goal but his strike is denied by Martin Dubravka.
