  1. Sunderland in the huntpublished at 21:09 GMT 3 December 2025

    HT: Liverpool 0-0 Sunderland

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Liverpool showed signs of life at the end of that first half as Sunderland keeper Robin Roefs saved well from Dominik Szoboszlai then Alex Mac Allister headed against the outside of the post.

Sunderland can be well pleased with that first half, though, with not too much to warm Liverpool's fans in this ice cold Merseyside night.

I just knew that Chelsea wouldn't turn up tonight. Two brilliant games against Barca and Arsenal and tools down for the so called lesser teams but still expect to win. Won't win any titles with this approach.

    Brighton 2-3 Aston Villa

A great save by Bart Verbruggen to prevent his side from falling further behind.

Villa have sent on Youri Tielemans and Lucas Digne.

    Into the final 15 minutes.

    Wolves 0-1 Nottingham Forest

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's a bad mistake, that is what is frustrating from a player's point of view. You have worked hard, yes your backs are on the ropes a bit, but you're digging in. That is a bad error from Johnstone.

  8. Maresca gave up to plot half-timepublished at 21:04 GMT 3 December 2025

    HT: Leeds 2-0 Chelsea

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport Chelsea reporter

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca had been ranting and raving to try to get his team together but then gave up and is sat with his coaches in the technical area.

There are superstars like Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto and Reece James on his bench but this has been a dismal performance all of a sudden.

Leeds have been spectacular in that half, bravo.

    Arsenal 1-0 Brentford

It's a little quiet at the Emirates where there are some nervous looks in the stands.

Into the final 15 minutes and still just the one goal in it.

    Leeds 2-0 Chelsea

    Gary Neville
Former Manchester United defender on Sky Sports

It's as if these Chelsea players haven't had it explained to them what might happen at Elland Road, if the crowd get up and it gets a little frantic.

They're sulking. There's no time for that.

  12. 'Leeds have sensed blood'published at 21:03 GMT 3 December 2025

    Leeds 2-0 Chelsea

    Steph Houghton
Former Manchester City and England captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

I'm impressed with Leeds. When you are 1-0 up you could sit back but against a team like Chelsea you know they have the likes of Palmer on the bench and they will come on and make a difference. They have sensed blood and gone for the second goal.

  13. Postpublished at 21:03 GMT 3 December 2025

    Igor Jesus (72 mins)

    This one will surely count!

Lovely delivery into the box from Omari Hutchinson and Igor Jesus rises highest to head home.

Sam Johnstone has been pretty solid in the Wolves net all evening but he got that one slightly wrong.

Same mistake every time from Enzo. Start weak and end up chasing, instead of start strong, try to lead and then sub off for a rest. This is why he is not a top manager.

  17. 'The perfect half'published at 21:01 GMT 3 December 2025

    Leeds United 2-0 Chelsea

    Gary Neville
Former Manchester United defender on Sky Sports

You can't say they don't deserve it

[Enzo Maresca's] team have been really poor tonight.

[Ao] Tanaka's shot has the precision, the power - and now the position in the game that Leeds would've dreamt of.

[Daniel Farke] will be happy. It's been the perfect half - quick start, a goal in front, soak up a bit of pressure then go and get a second.

Bucket loads of spirit and character on show from Unai Emery's side.

This would be just the third time that Aston Villa have come from 2-0 down away from home to win in the Premier League, and the first time since April 2005 v Southampton.
