Two of these losses came against Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim, two sides still fighting for a place in next season's Champions League, whereas their defeat last time out to Borussia Mönchengladbach secured safety in the Bundesliga for The Foals.
Dortmund have already secured Champions League football next season but will be looking to finish their season strongly and return to the high standards they’ve set throughout the season. They boast the joint-most clean sheets in the Bundesliga this season with 14, and have shipped fewer goals than any other side in the league. A win on Friday night would also secure second place for BVB.

They have only won four of their 17 league games since the turn of the year. Frankfurt have also conceded the third most goals in the league this season (60) with only relegation-fighting Wolfsburg and Heidenheim shipping more.
The Eagles are in desperate need of a win on Friday night. After Stuttgart progressed to the DFB-Pokal final, it means seventh place in the Bundesliga will earn a Europa Conference League play-off position. Frankfurt currently sit in eighth place, a point behind Freiburg in seventh. A loss for Frankfurt on Friday night, followed by an Freiburg win in Hamburg on Sunday, would see Frankfurt fail to qualify for European football for the first time since the 2019/20 season. A win and the battle for seventh would go down to the final match of the season.
