To be fair to Spurs, they've come out in this second half flying, just like they did in the first half. That is a massive opportunity.

Good work from Lauren Hemp, muscling Risa Shimizu off the ball on the byeline and then whipping a right-foot shot-cross just wide of the far post.

Cathinka Tandberg rises highest to head the ball from close range but Elene Lete is alert to the danger and catches comfortably.

City have put that brief scare behind them immediately and are starting to ramp up the pressure on Liverpool at the other end.

Yui Hasegawa has a fierce goal-bound shot blocked before Lauren Hemp's right-footed shot is dealt with by Jennifer Falk.

The second half begins, no changes for either side.

A long ball over the top and Liverpool forward Aurelie Csillag gets on the end of it, beating City keeper Ayaka Yamashita to it.

Csillag hooks it over the goalkeeper but is a little too wide to go for goal and the sky blue shirts are there to clear.

Liverpool get the second half under way. They've played the role of spoiler pretty well so far.

Arsenal will be hoping they can keep that up for the next 50 minutes or so.

Both sides are back out and we're almost ready for the second half at Joie Stadium.

A huge 45 minutes for Manchester City.

I found it fascinating, I really did and I think it has taken everyone by surprise, I don't know if we were being a little bit disrespectful to Liverpool after their performance last weekend against West Ham.

They are the team that have shown a response, City haven’t shown a response from their defeat against Brighton and they have to show more in the second-half here.

It’s a sell-out crowd and they’re fighting for a title that they haven’t won in so many years, it’s just not the City we expected to see.

Beth England has always been an important player. She's always scored goals for Chelsea and Spurs and she's going to be a massive miss when she leaves.

Tottenham are ahead at the break thanks to goals from Signe Gaupset and Olivia Holdt.

Delphine Cascarino is very fimly shoved off the ball by Drew Spence on the edge of the box but no free-kick is awarded.

Goalless at the break. Liverpool started brightly and had a trio of early chances but City grew into the game, Khadija Shaw had their best chance.

Julie Blakstad is convinced that she has been pulled down by Delphine Cascarino but her appeals are waved away.

She is not happy and you can understand why.
