Kroos used to play for Bayern.

He finds Vinicius Jr with a short corner but the Brazilian's cross goes straight out of play.

Whenever we talk about the excitement we have around other players, Harry Kane should still be number one. Absolutely in my mind he is number one.

If I had to make a choice and you said to me, 'You've got Jude Bellingham playing today or you've got Harry Kane playing today,' - you take Harry every time.

Bayern striker Harry Kane, in the centre circle again, this time tries to feed Leroy Sane with a through ball but Antonio Rudiger gets there first.

Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer has been solid since returning from a broken leg in a skiing accident. His pass goes to Real Madrid's Ferland Mendy but it's 50 yards away so no major harm done.

Konrad Laimer picks Thomas Muller out with a clever ball over the top. Muller is stretching and his attempted pull back hits Nacho.

Bayern come again and Jamal Musiala drags a shot wide from distance.

A good powerful header from Real centre-back Antonio Rudiger to get away Joshua Kimmich's cross.

Another Bayern shot. Konrad Laimer picks out Thomas Muller on the right. He cuts it back for Jamal Musiala, who shoots well over from about 16 yards out.

I don't think even Jude Bellingham himself could have expected to have the impact that he has at the start of his Real Madrid career. The way he has won the Bernabeu over, his relationship with the fans, and at times we know that can be difficult.

For him to sign for a club of that history and stature at his age and to have the impact that he has is incredible.

Harry Kane is tried and tested, been there and done it and is one of the best number nines in the Europe. He has gone and shown that at Bayern Munich.

Oh my word. The ball drops to Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane in the centre circle and he goes for goal.

Andriy Lunin is backpedalling but the ball lands on the roof of the net. It was close though.

It would have been one of the all-time great Champions League goals.

A promising start for Bayern. Harry Kane sends Leroy Sane away down the left. Sane bursts into the box and flashes a shot over the bar.

Unlucky for Leon Goretzka. The corner goes over everyone's head and looks like it might land to him but then bounces over his head.

Moments later Harry Kane has his first shot at goal as Leroy Sane picks him out with a backheel but his effort from near the edge of the box isn't the best and Andriy Lunin saves.

Bayern try a short corner routine and Federico Valverde stops Joshua Kimmich getting a cross in, at the expense of another corner.

A give and go between Jamal Musiala and Thomas Muller and the Germany forward wins a corner off Nacho.

Both sides still feeling their way into the game. Eric Dier getting a few touches at the back for Bayern.
