Though they still have the best defence in the Premier League this season with nine goals conceded, Arsenal have shipped six goals in their last five league games, double the amount they did in their first 10 this term.

They are trying to win a fifth consecutive top-flight home game for the first time since January 2024.

Wolves boss Rob Edwards speaking to TNT Sports about Arsenal: "They are beatable, Aston Villa are top and playing at Villa Park is always difficult anyway but, we've got to go in a with a real plan and be better from a defensive point of view and be tight without the ball. Aggressive but at the right moments, choose the right moments and be resilient. So there is a lot of things in our control that we need to be tonight if we want to get anything from this game and then try and be brave and at the right moments and take the game to them."

On what he wants from his players: "Run hard, if we make a mistake just run and react. The basics - whether that's a thrown in or valuing doing the right things. This team we're playing tonight are maybe the best at doing that - doing the things that maybe people don't see. They're always in the right position at the right moment."

On keeping morale up while trying to improve: "I try and put myself in a bubble and work really hard. I've been here about four weeks now and I knew it was going to be difficult but I'm up for it. I wanted the challenge, I wanted to go up against these teams, I wanted to test myself. We need to show belief in the players but we need to work really hard every day to show improvement. We've had a good reaction at the training ground after Monday [defeat to Manchester United] and we need to show that today."

Arsenal

Arsenal Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sports about William Saliba: "Obviously, with the amount of injuries in the backline, to have him back in the team is important.

"Great to have him back."

On Declan Rice: "He trained very well in the last two days. He was feeling very good. Re-energised and ready to go."On Noni Madueke: "He has played some minutes after six-to-seven weeks with injuries. Same with Martin, same principle. We need to make sure we look after these players.On Gabriel Jesus' return: "I think Viktor [Gyökeres] desire and motivation doesn't need anybody else.

"It is great to have someone like Gabi to bring different qualities to the team."

On Wolves: "A team that needs points. Needs to prove that they can perform and win."

Wolves' torrid run has led to several supporters' groups organising a boycott of the opening 15 minutes of Monday's 4-1 defeat by Manchester United at Molineux to protest against how the club is being run.

The club's hierarchy this week admitted Wolves got their transfer business wrong in the summer, when key figures Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nelson Semedo all left and six players without Premier League experience were brought in.

But chairman Jeff Shi has been criticised for comments around what it would mean if the club are relegated to the Championship.

"I feel relegation or staying up is a kind of technical word, just as I feel people try to emphasise its importance or not," Shi said. "Of course, it's important because it will incur different revenue for one year.

"But in the meantime, inside the club, I feel it is not as serious as some views from outside or that which league we play in next season will be such a weighty thing for us.

Wolves are winless in 19 Premier League games and have lost their past eight in a row. Both runs are the joint longest in their league history, equalling unwanted club records set in the early and mid-1980s.

This season, Rob Edwards' side remain winless in all 15 Premier League games, with only QPR in 2012-13 (16) and Sheffield United in 2020-21 (17) having longer runs from the start of a campaign.

Meanwhile, their two points is a joint-low after 15 games in top-flight history, level with the Blades from 2020-21.

Some Arsenal players beat the turf with frustration in response to Emi Buendia's 95th-minute winner against them last weekend, with some of the focus since then being on whether the team can roll with the punches.

Have they got what it takes to see a title charge all the way through to the climax?

The Gunners have earned just four points from a possible nine since moving six points clear after 12 games with a 4-1 home win against Tottenham on 23 November. On each of the past three occasions in which Arsenal were top after 12 matches, they failed to win the title.

Manchester City were the beneficiaries in all three of those seasons – ominously, they currently sit just two points adrift of the Gunners.

Manager Mikel Arteta said after the Aston Villa defeat that anyone who thinks Arsenal "are going to be 10 points clear lives in a different world", adding: "We are going to have to prove we can cope again, again, again for another six months."

His side have coped just fine for much of the season, going 18 matches unbeaten until last weekend. On Wednesday, they became only the fourth English team to start a Champions League campaign with six successive wins – all but securing their place in the knockout phase.

Speaking of obvious results, this is top against bottom and it is pretty clear Arsenal will win this - it is just a question of how many they will score.

Rob Edwards has had an absolute stinker since leaving Middlesbrough to take the Wolves job. They are losing every week while, at the same time, Boro always seem to win.

Wolves are in serious danger of being worse than the Derby County side that my 606 co-host Robbie Savage captained to the lowest points tally in Premier League history in the 2007-08 season, and they are not going to get anything at Emirates Stadium.

I watched Arsenal against Club Brugge for Champions League Match of the Day on Wednesday and they got the win they wanted despite being without a lot of players.

The Gunners are still stretched but they were still able to rest a few in that game. I don't see Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta rotating much on Saturday, though, because he certainly won't take winning this game for granted.

If you're an Arsenal fan you probably want to see your team absolutely blow Wolves away and scoring a shedload, but I don't think that will happen.

Instead, I can see Arsenal getting the game won, then taking their foot off the gas. That's when Arteta will make some changes.

Sutton's prediction: 3-0

A whole 31 points separate Arsenal at the top of the league and Wolves at the bottom.

The Gunners lead the Premier League with 10 wins from 15 matches while Wolves are yet to register a win in this campaign.

Surely Rob Edwards' side have to break this torrid run at some point - but they face the toughest of tasks to do so tonight.

Fulham move seven points clear of the relegation zone, as Burnley sit second from the bottom.
