Right, it's time to go folks.

Defeat for Manchester City and Newcastle, but a night to remember for Chelsea.

We're back for more Champions League football tomorrow.

Will Harry Kane triumph against Arsenal on his return to north London? Will Liverpool stop their losing run when they host PSV Eindhoven? And how will Tottenham do at European champions Paris St-Germain?

An 18-year-old stole the show. Not Lamine Yamal. He's still in Cucurella's pocket.

Cucurella was absolutely incredible. I think it's probably the best performance I have seen from a left-back for a very long time. To do that tonight, what he did, that shows he's a serious player.

    Chelsea

Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella speaking to Amazon Prime: "We played really well and deserved the result from the beginning of the game, with our attitude and high pressing. We had the passion to make some key passes and not lose the ball. We are good players so we scored our chances.

"The game plan was really clear. We executed it really well so it wasn't just about my performance, my team-mates helped out a lot. They always try to give me help, football is a game of 11 players against 11 players. We all try to do our best for the team and for the win.

"I'm feeling very proud personally. As a footballer, we have our ups and downs but the most important thing is staying consistent, trying to always improve and remembering that you have sacrificed a lot of things. After performances like this, everything makes sense."

On keeping a clean sheet against Barcelona: "It's amazing. Over the last couple of games, we have improved a bit in defence and started to get some clean sheets. The team has gained some confidence from that and we need to continue in this way now."

On team-mate Andrey Santos: "He is a special talent. He is a small guy. He always stays happy and plays with a smile. He finally scored with his right foot so we are happy for him."

  5. 'Estevao is ready for the Premier League'published at 22:56 GMT 25 November 2025

    Roberto Martinez
    Portugal manager on Amazon Prime

The fans enjoy every time Estevao has the ball but I think I want to go back to how the game was managed by Enzo Maresca.

I think Estevao had a big impact on the game, Pedro Neto had a big impact on the game, even Garnacho to have the discipline to always leave that space that they wanted to exploit.

What impressed me about Estevao was he was very constant. He kept making the right decisions. He was ready. It was a demanding game. The coach will look at this game and think he is ready to come into the Premier League because of that concentration and constant aspect of his performance.

It was very good. Very mature as well. He played like somebody much older than his age. What I like about him is when there is a possibility to try to do something difficult, he does it.

There is a great quality and he can only improve. Today he scored a fantastic goal and every time I see him, I see something new in him. This is a great attitude for a player like him.

Former Liverpool and Chelsea striker on Amazon Prime

The anticipation and expectation was that it was going to be Yamal's night and it would be all about him. You see Estavao tonight and it was absolutely brilliant.

He was tenacious, he was decisive in the moments he needed to be. Calmed the game down when he needed to calm it down. Very professional and experienced performance from him and it is just the beginning. Just the start of an amazing career we hope to see and we hope Chelsea have a superstar on their hands because he was absolutely amazing tonight.

  9. 'When you beat Barcelona, it is always nice'published at 22:51 GMT 25 November 2025

    FT: Chelsea 3-0 Barcelona

    Chelsea

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, speaking to Amazon Prime: "It is a good win. To be honest, it was no more than that. We knew how important this game was, but they are all important games. When you beat Barcelona, it is always nice so we are happy today.

"We dropped points at Qarabag away, then we won against Benfica and Ajax, then we lost the last one against Bayern Munich. That shows all of these games are complicated."

"Barcelona are a team that feel comfortable when they have the ball. If they don't have the ball, they don't feel comfortable so we tried to keep the ball. Even 11v11, my feeling was very good because the team was playing well.

"The defensive part is always important because you need balance. Fortunately, in the last month, we have started finishing games with clean sheets in the Premier League. It's something you need to do if you want to achieve important things."

On 18-year-old Estevao Willian scoring: "It was a huge night for him, but I think it is also a huge night for the whole club and all the fans. It is a very nice for everyone.

"We will see [if he starts against Arsenal]. For now, it's time for us to recover our energy."

On the value his side took from the Club World Cup: "Winning it was very important for my players in terms of confidence because they realised that they can win games against any team. When you're trying to build a winning mentality, you need to win games."

  10. 'Chelsea can push Arsenal'published at 22:50 GMT 25 November 2025

    Wayne Rooney
Former Man Utd striker on Amazon Prime

Maresca has managed the team really well.

They are probably missing their best player (Cole Palmer) and we forgot about him tonight because the performance was that good.

They are doing something right, they are looking a threat and the more confidence they get, the more they will win. They can push Arsenal.

    Newcastle United

Newcastle defender Dan Burn, speaking to TNT Sports: "We stuck to the game plan well. The start of the second half has cost us.

"We didn't start the second half as we'd wanted to. Aubameyang is 36-years-old but showed his quality tonight.

"It's hard to break a team down in a stadium like this."

  12. 'I came here for nights just like this'published at 22:46 GMT 25 November 2025

    FT: Chelsea 3-0 Barcelona

    Chelsea

Chelsea goalscorer Liam Delap, speaking to Amazon Prime: "Chelsea is an incredible club and I came here for nights just like this. It is a special one. We worked so hard during this week to get everything right, and we did that.

"It was a team effort. Everyone stuck to the game plan that the manager put together alongside his staff. Everyone worked hard and won their battles on the pitch, we executed it all perfectly.

"I wasn't concerned my goal was offside. I knew Enzo [Fernandez] was onside and I was definitely onside.

"We know we have quality within the whole team. We are getting stronger by the week. We come into every game knowing we are going to do well. We knew we had to win tonight to have a chance of qualifying automatically."

On his team-mate Estevao Willian: "He is incredible. He has the world at his feet. If he keeps grounded and keeps working hard, he can be anything he wants to be."

I'm going to go back to a word that we haven't used often for this Chelsea side: maturity.

Chelsea have put out a really grown-up performance with some really intelligent moments. The players knew when to do things for the team and understood how to do it.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola when asked by TNT Sports what has been said in the dressing room since full-time: "It belongs to us."

On the performance: "I take full responsibility, still I think the players that started were exceptional players but we missed something needed at the highest level. We now have to fight for the next games."

On what was missing: "They [Leverkusen] were good. In general we did very good things as well, we had more chances than them, but they were half-chances."

On making 10 changes to the starting XI: "I have to accept it. If we win it wouldn't be a problem so I have to accept it that maybe it's a lot but I think playing every two or three days we need to [make changes] but seeing the result, maybe it's too much."

On facing Real Madrid next in the Champions League: "We have time."

Nowadays with the five substitutions you can plan for players to start the game and players to finish the game. Gone are the days where you had a starting XI and that was how you are going to win the game. It is not like that.

A confident Estevao can be fantastic to finish the game, the same way that having players like Pedro Neto (up front). To play Barcelona and play Arsenal is the best opportunity to be at their best. He has players full of confidence, the choice will always help Chelsea to have the best performance against Arsenal.

Eddie Howe might be gutted but he is responsible. These away capitulations from winning positions are a theme. Pope should not be in the team. He is a liability - but he keeps on picking him.

    Tim

I’d love to know how many errors Nick Pope has made that have lead directly to a goal this season. He has done it three away games running now. He needs to be dropped for Ramsdale. Now.
