On this result: "You always have to look on the positive side even if it's negative. I know today wasn't the best game we played since the manager game. First half we controlled the game, leading 2-0 and then losing 4-2 in the end. We just move on."

On the return of some players: "Happy to have them back. We were here for two weeks, they were here for maybe one. I hope they enjoyed the holiday but now back to work."

On knowing what they need to work on: "Now we know we conceded two goals from set pieces, we have to take care more of them. Last season was a season where everything started to be really important. Andoni Iraola and co will head straight home from Chicago tonight and it’s fair to say that Iraola will have plenty to think about on the flight home. This is a Liverpool squad that needs work before the Premier League starts.

Both sides head back from their US tour with two wins and a defeat, but it will be Leeds who will be heading back the more buoyant after that second-half display.

Liverpool will be perplexed, they had performed well on this tour until that head-scratching 45 minutes.

For Liverpool, a very comfortable first half is followed up by a second half that leaves them with plenty to think about.
