West Ham are yet to win back-to-back Premier League matches this season. Can you believe that?

Their win over Fulham in the week means they have the chance to do it against Crystal Palace, while new boss Graham Potter could become just the third West Ham manager to win his first two Premier League fixtures in charge, emulating Trevor Brooking and Gianfranco Zola.

There could be goals too. Each of their last three league games has produced five goals, with the Hammers winning one and losing two.

'Foxes never quit' is Leicester's motto, but it is starting to look like they have done.

Ruud van Nistelrooy's side are on a run of six straight league defeats and are in desperate trouble.

It's not a surprise to see Leicester struggling now because I think it's a case where they have been a mess all season.

There are people out there who will think this has been coming, because they sacked Steve Cooper and then seemed to give Van Nistelrooy the job off the back of two wins against them while in temporary charge of Manchester United.

He was a great player who had his managerial apprenticeship with PSV, and I admired the job he did with United too, so this situation is not on him - he just inherited this team.

It is always a struggle for promoted teams, but there seemed to be a different expectation from Leicester fans because of their recent history, and a belief they would stay up easily then kick on. The Premier League does not work like that - and they have found that out.

Fulham are not on a great run either, although they come into this game off the back of a lot of draws rather than defeats.

I thought Marco Silva's side deserved something out of their defeat to West Ham on Tuesday, and they won't slip up again. I can see Leicester scoring, because they are due a goal, but Fulham will have too much quality for them.

Fulham's eight-match unbeaten Premier League run came to an end with defeat at West Ham in midweek.

They were the better team in the early exchanges but two individual mistakes saw them slip to a 3-2 defeat.

Marco Silva's side have scored two goals in each of their last three Premier League games but have failed to win any of them (drawn two, lost one).

They need to tighten up at the back though, with their only clean sheet in the past 11 fixtures coming in a goalless Premier League home draw against Southampton last month.

There are positives at the other end though. They have scored in each of their last nine Premier League away matches on the road, their longest away scoring streak in the top flight.

It certainly hasn't been plain sailing for Ruud van Nistelrooy in his first full-time managerial role in the Premier League.

Leicester have lost six successive top-flight matches, their worst streak in the top flight since a run of eight defeats in 2001.

They have picked up just four points from 24 available under Van Nistelrooy and his six defeats are more than he lost in the entire season with PSV in 2022-23 (won 23, drawn six, lost five)

The Foxes have lost their last three home league games, conceding a total of seven goals without scoring.

Liverpool have a knack of wining a game when they're not at their best.

On the flipside looking at Arsenal and I don't see them doing that at present.

Who will challenge Liverpool for the title?

I don't think Arsenal will be challenging for the title in two-to-three months.

Bournemouth were magnificent today.

I have not seen a team got to Newcastle and dominate the game like that in and out of possession.

I thought Liverpool were really unlucky not to beat Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. They played well had enough chances to win, but Forest keeper Matz Sels made some excellent saves.

Now, with Arsenal winning on Wednesday, this game has become massive for Liverpool. If they don't win it, people are going to really question them.

Arne Slot's side have drawn their past two league games, and lost to Tottenham in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

So, since the turn of they year they have only won one game in four in all competitions - the FA Cup tie against Accrington.

It is something of a mini-blip for them, and they need to get back on track. But they are still where they want to be - four points clear at the top of the Premier League and with a game in hand on the teams below them.

This is going to be another tough game for the leaders though.

People might see Brentford's late comeback against Manchester City as justification for them resting players in their FA Cup home defeat by Plymouth.

I disagree with that, but the Bees have shown this season that they never lie down and I can see them scoring and keeping this close.

Unlike City, though, I believe Liverpool will find a way of getting over the line.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has scored in each of his past four appearances against Brentford, netting five goals in total.

Watch out for him in the second-half in particular. Sixteen of Salah's 18 league goals this season have come in the second period of games.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank concedes “quite comfortable” Liverpool are favourites to win the Premier League title but refuses to rule out an upset at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The Bees host another difficult opponent in the league leaders on Saturday after salvaging a dramatic draw with Manchester City on Tuesday night.

Slot’s men enter the contest four points clear of second-placed Arsenal and with a game in hand, but Frank feels 11th-placed Brentford have it in them to deal the Reds a blow.

“Being favourites is not saying that you are going to win it (the title),” said Frank. “I understand why Arne Slot is playing it down, saying game by game. We all would do the same.

“The only thing they can do is to do what they have done so far, which is beat the team in front of them, and then they hope it’s enough at the end of the season, but this is the best league in the world, it’s extremely tricky, but they are favourites.”

Frank added: “Liverpool have done fantastic this season. They are the best-performing team, or have been the best-performing team this season. They are top of the league, quite comfortable.

“They are favourite to win the title, and also they have had a minimal amount of injuries. Of course they had a few, but maybe only one or two and they were never really hit by it."

This is how it stands in the Premier League after Bournemouth's superb win at St James' Park. The Cherries are up to sixth and dreaming of Europe.

The 3pm games have Brentford at home to Liverpool, Leicester entertain Fulham and West Ham face Crystal Palace.

One the best team performances I have seen all season.

A great team performance on and off the ball - they totally outplayed Newcastle.

Unsurprisingly not a single Bournemouth fan has left St James' Park. They are serenading their side up in the heavens and every single player and member of staff has gone over to applaud them.

Bournemouth were excellent in that game.

This is Bournemouth's longest away trip of the season and some of their fans have left for this game at 00:15 GMT and others just before 02:15.

This is going to be one journey home! They've come to Newcastle - who had won nine in a row - and completely outplayed them.

Andoni Iraola's side are now unbeaten in a club record 10 successive Premier League matches (W6, D4) and they have not lost any of their past six away league fixtures (W4, D2).
