"We have to thank our fans because it was difficult in the weather today. They started the game well, first 20-25 minutes they had chances. Progressively in the second half we stopped them better. We were close to a second goal and until the last moment we were defending, trying to keep possession and trying to score another goal. At the end we deserved to win and a clean sheet too."
On Jhon Duran goal: "Fantastic goal and the action, fighting in the duel with the centre back and how he beat him and scored with a great shot."
On Leon Bailey injury: "I think he will be out, hopefully not a lot of weeks but Tuesday I don't think he will be available. We have to try and use our other players and give them chances. It's a hamstring issue.
"Champions League is something we have to enjoy but we also focus on difficulties in Premier League and challenge against Nottingham Forest is something else. But we have to try and get to the next round in the Champions League."

"We won and that's positive but the difficulties we had were in our expectation. Over the 90 minutes we had chances to score more goals but sometimes they were dominating possession. Today we managed the game plan more or less to try and find the way to win.
"It's important for the team. Today we had chances. We dominated sometimes both boxes. At the beginning for sure but the second half they didn't get to our box,. We had chances to score the second goal which we didn't do. Amazing goal from Jhon Duran, individual brilliant goal his ability to run in behind and he's very clinical.
"The most important thing is how we are progressively getting comfortable on the field. We have to try to use substitutions because we have Champions League on Tuesday. Three matches in nine days. We have to be ready with the players we have available to try and enjoy the competition."
On Leon Bailey injury, will he be available for Tuesday? "I don't know. I think no."
On league position: "Each step we have to try to get comfortable. We are fighting with Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Brighton and we have to try to be there. We focus on the next match, Champions League and then the match against Forest."

Just a straightforward corner to the near post, Nikola Milenkovic wins a physical tussle with Lisandro Martinez, who doesn't get off the ground, and sends his header into the goal.
Ruben Amorim wanted to see a reaction. He needs to see one now.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe speaking to BBC Sport: "Really frustrating, we are really disappointed with the manner of goals we conceded. It''s not even individual mistakes, there's two or three actions I'm not happy with for each goal. We have to do better in those situations.
"We had control of the game in the first half, then it got away from us after the third goal. We looked like a good attacking unit, but we have to put it all together and it has led to inconsistent results.
On their recent form, with no win in four games: "A strange sequence for us, we had three consecutive wins against really good opponents, then we have had mixed performances. We have to get it over the line."
