  1. 'Unbelievably painful'published at 23:12 GMT 7 January

    FT: Bournemouth 3-2 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

More from Tottenham boss Thomas Frank, speaking to Sky Sports: "That is very, very difficult, really painful. The players put in everything. We started really well and went 1-0 up. I loved the mentality and character in the second half. There was one team out there and that was us. To concede a goal five minutes into extra time is just so painful. It's very, very hard to take.

"The thing is we conceded four shots first half. No, I didn't see our mentality slip away. We showed great mental strength. It's unbelievably painful.

"The travelling fans were amazing today. They supported us throughout the game. The players are frustrated, I'm frustrated. We are all hurt, the fans are hurt. That's absolutely natural. That's why football is emotional. It's just very painful for everyone involved with Tottenham today."

  2. 'It will be a great honour leading the team out at Old Trafford'published at 23:11 GMT 7 January

    FT: Burnley 2-2 Manchester United

    Manchester United

More from Manchester United interim boss Darren Fletcher speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

On changing the formation to a back four: "I feel like it is what I have always played in my career, it is what I am comfortable with, and what I use with the U18s. It's synonymous with Manchester United and I felt like it suited the players tonight for this game at Burnley.

"It was the right call when you look at the game in terms of the chances created. The challenge is that when the players are used to a back five adapting to a back four is going to be difficult, you have to cover more and you could see the challenges in that and it is something we will try to work on."

On his role: "I'll be in charge at the weekend for Brighton, that is the next step as far as I know. When the club ask me to do something I am more than willing to help so it will be a great honour leading the team out at Old Trafford. All the focus is on that, recovering from this game and preparing for Brighton.

"Honestly I am not thinking about that [having the job long term]. I'm just thinking about the task at hand and the job I have been given for this game and the game on Sunday. There is a lot going on with preparing and recovering and all my focus and energy is going on that. What happens beyond that is out of my control."

  3. 'I am mad at myself'published at 23:09 GMT 7 January

    FT: Newcastle 4-3 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds goalscorer Brenden Aaronson, who also conceded a late penalty, speaking to Sky Sports: "Of course I am devastated, it's annoying when you score two and mentally I turned off for a minute and I know I can't lift my hand like this around the box. It's football at the end of the day. Of course, I am mad at myself but I think we could have done better defending on a couple of occasions.

"To come here and go up three times in a row and almost tie and almost win the game shows how good this team is and we need to keep going from here."

"In this league, if you take five minutes off the other team is so good that they score. We absorb a bit too much in moments and take our foot off the gas, but the way we are playing at the minute, to come here and almost win and tie, is unbelievable and we just need to go from here."

  4. 'A great advert for the Premier Leaguepublished at 23:08 GMT 7 January

    FT: Newcastle 4-3 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds manager Daniel Farke speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It's football, it was a great advertisement for the Premier League. A game full of class. Of course there were mistakes otherwise there wouldn't be goals. But more or less football how we want to see it - emotional, offensive, great from us here at Newcastle. It was always clear the not-losing streak would come to an end and I would prefer to do it like this, a top performance from the lads.

"Of course it's heart-breaking to concede a penalty in the 91st minute and the 12th minute of added time, the winner for them. Heart-breaking.

"We should have been a bit smarter in the final stages in terms of game management because it was like a basketball game and a point for us would have been a bit more valuable. We were a bit naïve."

On conceding a late penalty: "If this is a penalty in this situation then I've got no clue about football. It is not in the sense of the game to give away such a decisive penalty. Of course it's heart-breaking for the lads."

  5. 'Our reaction to going 2-1 down was superb'published at 23:07 GMT 7 January

    FT: Burnley 2-2 Manchester United

    Burnley

Burnley boss Scott Parker, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I demanded a reaction [after the Brighton defeat] and every one of the players wanted that reaction as well. So we come off the back of a result at the weekend where we were hugely critical, me as well to the group, and the players as well. We let ourselves down at the weekend in a certain element that we need to bring to a game of football in the Premier League and we did that tonight.

"We start the game well. We get our noses in front and from there going 2-1 down, the reaction after that was superb really. Pleased with a point and we move on, a big point for us."

On Jaidon Anthony's goal: "Brilliant goal. He was brilliant all round when he came on. He brought an energy, brought a calmness, showed his quality. Really, really pleased for Jaidon as well. It was a great goal and got us back in the game."

On whether this result gives his side belief: "There's definitely belief, for sure there is. There's been some tough times and of course that's been the way it's been and I see a pure belief in the team tonight."

Brentford manager Keith Andrews, speaking to Sky Sports: "The spirit, resilience, personality and intensity [pleased me most]. I wanted to play with intensity tonight I didn’t want the time of year and the congested period to be an excuse. We want to attack every game and we did that really well tonight."

On Igor Thiago: “We played Bournemouth a couple of weeks ago and he didn’t score but he was sensational. Goals are always something you are judged on as a striker and it is fair to say on that front he is having a special season as well."

On Sunderland's missed penalty: "I feel when Caoimhin [Kelleher] is in goal there is every chance he is going to save a penalty. He is a special goalkeeper and special person. It was a crucial moment but it wasn’t all on that. I thought we deserved the victory on the way we performed.

"We have grown and have more confidence in the way we are playing."

  7. 'Never seen anything like it at the end'published at 23:05 GMT 7 January

    FT: Everton 1-1 Wolves

    Everton

Everton defender James Tarkowski, speaking to Sky Sports: "Second half was bizarre. It's not often you spend the last few minutes with nine men. We lost our way a little bit and it opened up. It was a poor goal to concede. I've never seen anything like it at the end, it was bizarre.

"We couldn't get up to the ball and we seemed to be open in the midfield. Tactically, we didn't get it right on the pitch and they played right through us for the goal."

On Michael Keane's red card: "I've seen it back. I understand the rule: if someone pulls someone's hair intentionally, then it's a red card. There are a couple of components to it, really. First of all, Michael Keane is the most placid character you could ever meet. He's never had any intention to harm. Maybe an experienced referee at this level knows Michael Keane wouldn't do that. It's only his second game at this level. His hand has to go on his back to protect his head.

"I even spoke to the lad after the game and he wasn't asking for a red card. It's a three-match ban now over something that is absolutely nothing."

On Jack Grealish's red card: "I think we're all frustrated at that point. Jack will hold his hand up and say he needs to remain composed there. We need our players on the pitch. We dealt with it in the end. We'll take the point and move on.

"We need to start winning at home again. We finished the game with nine men and we'll never win like that."

  8. 'Very proud of every single player'published at 23:04 GMT 7 January

FT: Crystal Palace 0-0 Aston Villa

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"Credit to the players for their performance, commitment today and with all the circumstances, playing the most in-form team in the league and showing a game like this. I am very proud of every single player.

"We could see first half we are not full of confidence right now, but we worked into the game and second half we created some good moments.

"At the end we have to defend a few situations, the game could have gone either way, so a draw is fair result.

"Today we had, I would say, 12 and a half outfield players available, because Chris Richards only came back yesterday. This is why we made just one substitution."

  10. 'The type of stuff you write in movies'published at 23:02 GMT 7 January

    FT: Bournemouth 3-2 Tottenham

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth's Marcus Tavernier, speaking to Sky Sports: "In a way it is a relief [at winning].

"We've waited too long to feel this feeling again. It might not have been the prettiest of performances but we got the three points."

On Antoine Semenyo's fairytale winner: "Everyone reads a lot of the media and if that is to be his last involvement for Bournemouth there is no better way for it to go. That was the type of stuff you write in movies and no man deserves it more than him.

"He will be a big miss with his quality but also the person he is in the changing room.

"If that is to be his last moment we definitely have to find something else going forward."

  11. 'Get Semenyo through the door and on the pitch'published at 23:01 GMT 7 January

    FT: Manchester City 1-1 Brighton

    Shay Given
Former Newcastle and Man City keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

You look at Man City in the last three games, they have dropped six points, so why not do it [the Semenyo deal] on day one, at the start of the window? Get him in, freshen things up.

Again he has shown tonight what a player he is and City tonight struggled to break a defence down. Even having him off the bench. City are challenging right at the top of the league, I don't understand why you would wait. Get him through the door and on the pitch.

  12. 'It is good football gave Semenyo this moment'published at 23:00 GMT 7 January

    FT: Bournemouth 3-2 Tottenham

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, speaking to Sky Sports: "In the last games we deserved it more but today we were the ones shooting from the edge and scoring. That was a lovely [moment] for Antoine. Sometimes football gives you these things. He has been top, he has given everything and been committed until the end. I think it is good football gives him back this moment."

Was this Antoine Semenyo's last game? "It looks like it yes. Obviously there is a medical and the formalities. I think it is going to be his last moments with us, yes.

"A top professional. We are not [only] losing an incredible player but one of the best players I have ever coached. He is a top guy, so full of energy and ready for whatever you need him. I am sure he will continue his development because he has improved every season with us.

"We know we are very thin in numbers but the club is also working. We will have to be patient in this January market. I hope we can add more players.

"I try to analyse and explain to the club and we have a very good relationship, they understand what we need but it is not easy in the January market because nobody wants to lose players.

"I am sure the club will try to sign the best players they can."

  13. 'A massive disappointment'published at 22:59 GMT 7 January

    FT: Burnley 2-2 Manchester United

    Manchester United

Manchester United interim boss Darren Fletcher speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "For me the fact we have drawn is a massive disappointment. If you look at the context of the game, the chances we created, goalline clearances, a disallowed goal, 30 shots, lots of attacking play. We created more than enough to win the game so obviously it is disappointing when you only come away with a point."

On the disallowed goal: "It just looked like normal things that happen at every corner so it's surprising that decision was given. If you look at the context of the Premier League this season and the physicality that goes into set pieces, I have seen way worse on almost every set piece, so I am massively surprised the referee has got involved there, it's something we have to accept but there was a lot of frustration."

On Benjamin Sesko's two goals: "I was so happy for him. I spoke to him yesterday and we presented a video showing his movement and showing his goals, just showing how it is coming and he needs to keep believing and the players need to get more service to him. He did that tonight and scored two great goals. A real positive night for Ben.

"He had other opportunities, a header, another snapshot. The team is disappointed with a point but in terms of a personal level hopefully he can kick on from that now."

  14. 'Such a heart-breaking moment'published at 22:57 GMT 7 January

    FT: Newcastle 4-3 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds manager Daniel Farke speaking to Sky Sports: "Football. Sometimes you have such a heart-breaking moment at the end of an away game. It was a top game and advertisement for the Premier League. A great game. Of course there were mistakes, otherwise there wouldn't be so many goals.

"One of our best away performances here at Newcastle, such a tough place to go and to show such a brave performance, I am pretty proud of my lads. It was a bit like basketball game in the last minutes and could fall for both sides. The team that lost this game would always say 'you should have calmed the game down' but both teams went for it. We were on the wrong end of the result."

On conceding a late penalty: "It was more like on the line, but not one intention to play the ball so in this sense of the game it should never be a penalty but we have to accept it. There was a lot of pressure on the referees with the whole home crowd looking for a penalty."

  15. 'We won't search for excuses'published at 22:55 GMT 7 January

    FT: Brentford 3-0 Sunderland

    Sunderland

Sunderland manager Regis le Bris, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “It is a tough place. Well done to Brentford because they were good. We didn’t start well. We had the opportunity to be back in the game but we missed it.

"It was like going 2-0 because the energy of the stadium went high and it was the beginning of the end for us. It was the main switch of the game and after that they were better than us.

"We have to lose as a team. We were not at the level. We won't search for excuses we have to manage the conditions we have."

  16. 'Two points dropped for Man Utd'published at 22:54 GMT 7 January

    FT: Burnley 2-2 Manchester United

    Gary Neville
Former Manchester United defender on Sky Sports

It's been a struggle for both teams. A change in management for Manchester United this week. I don't think there'll be too much joy from what they've seen tonight.

They'll be disappointed by that second Burnley goal and they should do better. Another two points dropped against teams at the bottom of the league.

  17. 'One of those classic games here'published at 22:53 GMT 7 January

    FT: Newcastle 4-3 Leeds

    Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe speaking to Sky Sports: "Difficult to sum up. It was one of those classic games here where I don't think we weren't our best but showed great character and the game turned our way at the end which is a rare thing for us. It's great for it to go the other way today.

"It wasn't a perfect performance, there's stuff to improve but the mentality is the key thing. If you are losing, you need that 'never say die' attitude.

"We were a bit flat at start of game which was surprising. We are disappointed with that aspect of our game but maybe conceding helped us in this game because it gave us something to chase and played with a bit more freedom.

"I'm delighted for Harvey [Barnes] to score the winning goal, a great moment for him. He has done it before for us but he deserves it."

On Fabian Schar's injury: "I don't know too much, I think it's an ankle problem. Fingers crossed, our thoughts are with him. I think he is at the hospital now."

  18. 'Wilson in the best moment of his career'published at 22:52 GMT 7 January

    FT: Fulham 2-1 Chelsea

    Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva told BBC Sport: "We never expect to win a game if we don’t work hard.

"We knew we controlled very well the game. We had to be aware with some transitions we gave them a chance. We deserved the three points and did more to win the game. We changed with the substitution of Kevin to be much more offensive. Most of these players played three games in seven days. It’s an incredible effort from these guys and they deserve all the credit.

"We had to be patient. I wanted to wait for half-time because it would be more clear the instructions for what we needed for the game. It was a great win for these guys [fans]. In the past the fans weren’t used to winning against their neighbours. But they’re getting the great feelings now."

On Harry Wilson: "Every thing he does is something. What a finish for the disallowed goal. He’s in a top moment. He's in the best moment of his career so far. He’s helping the team. What a season from him."

  19. 'Punch in ribs for City'published at 22:50 GMT 7 January

    FT: Manchester City 1-1 Brighton

    Gary Neville
Former Manchester United defender on Sky Sports

One-one against Brighton feels like another punch to the ribs for Man City. Arsenal will be going to bed tonight a lot more confident for their game tomorrow.

  20. 'We don't look at the table'published at 22:49 GMT 7 January

    FT: Manchester City 1-1 Brighton

    Manchester City

Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku speaking to Sky Sports: "A draw at home is never really a good point. We are not that happy and would've preferred three points.

"On another day we score. It's a bit similar to the other two games we drew. Today is a point. We need to score really clear chances. If you do, it's a different story. These three games we win.

"Then we get a bit anxious when time goes."

On his side's title challenge: "We don't really look at the table. We try to be ourseles, score more goals. Now after one goal we struggle a bit to score the second and third."
