Summary

  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:47 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-1 Larne

Matty Lusty's early goal is the difference between the sides at Windsor Park.

I would imagine both managers will want more from their sides in the second half.

  2. INJURY TIMEpublished at 13:45 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-1 Larne

Just one minute to be added on at the end of the first half.

  3. Postpublished at 13:42 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-1 Larne

Tomas Cosgrove has been dangerous all game for Larne down the right and he puts another teasing ball into the middle.

This one just has too much on it for both Andy Ryan and Aaron Donnelly.

  4. Postpublished at 13:37 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-1 Larne

James Simpson's route one ball over the top is an awkward one for David Walsh to deal with. He comes to the edge of his box to nod away but it doesn't go far and Andy Ryan is lurking with intent.

However, the Larne forward's studs let him down as he slips to bring to an end a rather comical spell of football.

  5. Postpublished at 13:34 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-1 Larne

A clumsy challenge from Ethan McGee sends Andy Ryan tumbling in the box but nothing doing from Ian McNabb.

Larne cry for a penalty but, in the end, Matty Lusty's shot is blocked behind for a corner that Linfield defend well.

  6. Postpublished at 13:33 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-1 Larne

Tomas Cosgrove gets down the right flank and picks out Sean Graham but his first-time effort doesn't trouble David Walsh.

At the other end, Rohan Ferguson is flustered for the first time this afternoon and it is two of the teenage debutants who cause the trouble.

Finlay Ross gets down the right with a nice piece of skill and finds Oliver Wade on the edge of the box. His shot has Ferguson diving but ripples the roof of the net.

The game is starting to open up.

  7. Postpublished at 13:28 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-1 Larne

It is a youthful Linfield forward line and they are struggling to get any momentum going against this experienced and physical Larne backline.

  8. Postpublished at 13:21 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-1 Larne

Just as I say that, Tomas Cosgrove gets down the right flank and his ball picks out Andy Ryan.

The Scottish striker hits it first time but skies it into the empty Railway End.

  9. Postpublished at 13:20 BST 11 April

    Larne 0-1 Linfield

Another Larne training ground set-piece fails to pay off as Matty Lusty slips as he tries to get on the end of Jordan McEneff's disguised free-kick delivery.

The game has fallen into a lull here at the 20 minute mark.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:13 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-1 Larne

A mistimed lunge from Scot Whiteside on Chris Gallagher warrants the first card of the day from Ian McNabb.

The Larne bench feel it maybe should have been a different shade of card...

GOAL Linfield 0-1 Larnepublished at 13:07 BST 11 April

    Matty Lusty (7 mins)

Linfield howl for offside and it really was close as Andy Ryan slides through Matty Lusty. He doesn't stop to ask questions though and rounds David Walsh superbly to finish into the empty net.

Just the start Gary Haveron's men needed.

  14. Postpublished at 13:05 BST 11 April

    Linfield 0-0 Larne

More Larne pressure yields a corner as Jordan McEneff's cross is headed behind by Scot Whiteside.

A bit of a training ground move (or was it a mishit by Sean Graham?!) picks out Matty Lusty but his shot is blocked away.

  15. Postpublished at 13:02 BST 11 April

    Larne 0-0 Linfield

A ball through the middle gives Matty Lusty something to chase but David Walsh comes out and hammers the ball into the stand.

    Linfield v Larne (13:00 BST)

Hello from a sunny but cold Windsor Park as Larne look to bounce back from back-to-back defeats to Coleraine and solidify their place at the top of the table.

Ethan McGee captains the side with David Walsh, Matt Yates and Dane McCullough also retained. There is a youthful flavour to the team with debuts for Jon Graham, Finlay Ross and Oliver Wade.

Gary Haveron makes two changes from their heavy home defeat to the Bannsiders on Tuesday. Dan Bent is suspended while Ronan Doherty drops to the bench. In come Linfield-bound Ryan Nolan and James Simpson
