Just one place is up for grabs in the Irish Premiership next season, with the seven-time Gibson Cup Crusaders winners hoping to secure their place in the top flight for a 20th consecutive season.

The Crues did of course drop out of Irish Premiership back in 2005, losing a two-leg relegation play-off to Glenavon, and they will be hoping history doesn't repeat itself 21 years later.

For Championship outfit Annagh United, they have tasted defeat in this play-off fixture three times in the past four seasons, so will be hoping that changes this time around.

For the home side, Annagh boss Ciaran McGurgan names a totally different starting XI from the weekend with several experienced players returning.

Declan Caddell makes 10 changes with captain Harry Jewitt-White the only starter retained from Saturday's 3-2 victory over Ballymena United.

Annagh United: Little, J.Henderson, Swan, N.Henderson (c), Balde, Taylor, Rogers, Upton, Redman, Teggart, Donnelly.

Subs: Marron, Calvert, Young, Convie, Johnson, Jinadu, Farr.

Crusaders: Dibaga, Forsythe, McKechnie, Jewitt-White (c), Brooks, Dunlop, Willamson, Bryden, Bruce, Rough, Barr.

Subs: Tuffey, Blaney, Thorndike, Nixon, McCart, Maguire, Anderson.

  16. 'We have to be at our best' at Annagh - Caddellpublished at 19:34 BST 28 April

Annagh United v Crusaders (19:45 BST)

Crusaders manager Declan Caddell said his side are prepared to face a "big, physical and direct" Annagh United in Tuesday's promotion/relegation play-off first leg at the BMG Arena (19:45 BST).

The Crues come into the play-off in good form and are unbeaten in their past four league matches.

As for Annagh, they are without a win in six games and finished nine points behind Championship winners Limavady United.

The sides will meet again on Friday, 1 May for the second leg of the play-off to decide who will compete in the Irish Premiership and who will play in the Championship next campaign.

"I have done a lot of homework the last two weeks and I have loads of information on them and watched a lot of their games," Caddell told BBC Sport NI.

"They are a big, physical and direct side and they play really well. It is going to be a tough place to go, and we can't take anything for granted because they will punish you.

"They have talented players who will punish you if given the chance, so we have to be at our very best."
