If anyone required any convincing that the FA Cup still matters, this season's record-breaking third round provided all the necessary evidence.

Non-league Macclesfield have been drawn at home to Premier League high-flyers Brentford in the FA Cup fourth round.

The National League North side beat holders Crystal Palace 2-1 on 10 January to record one of the biggest upsets in the history of the competition.

The winners of tonight's final third round tie between Salford and Swindon of League Two will visit Manchester City, who thumped League One Exeter 10-1 in round three, while new Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior will take his side to former club Hull City.

Premier League leaders and 14-time winners Arsenal will host 2013 winners Wigan, while Burnley host League One Mansfield Town.

There will be two all-Premier League ties with Newcastle travelling to Aston Villa and Liverpool, who beat Barnsley after the draw on Monday night, hosting Brighton.

The ties will be played across the weekend of 14-15 February.

When the draw was made for the third round in December, Salford and Swindon probably would have been a tad disappointed to have been drawn with each other.

But now after their original date was postponed, an FA Cup shock for the ages and a tantalising draw away to Manchester City in the next round, these two sides will look at a cup run in a different light.

Separated by two places but level on points in League Two's top four, this promises to be a close one.

The Ammies have never reached the last-32 of this famous old trophy, while the Robins were last there in 2012, so it's a big opportunity for both clubs.

And with over 1,800 games between them in the dugout, respective bosses Karl Robinson and Ian Holloway have lots of experience they can bring to bear.

It's Tuesday night and who's up for a bit of bonus FA Cup football?

All but one of the 32 third-round ties was sorted last weekend, with Salford and Swindon frozen off.
