Scotland assistant coach Steven Naismith: "The biggest learning is the surroundings that's the positive of having two games in the same city and the same stadium.

"Good connection between the fans and the players, pitch was good. We knew the fans would be there in their numbers. It's about harnessing that. There was a nervous energy for the first game but we stood up to the challenge.

"It wasn't our best performance, Bolivia the week before was better but one game, one win."

On Friday's opponents Morocco: "Each opposition have different threats. Haiti on the counter-attack are lightning quick. We were defensively solid.

"Morocco have athletic and intelligent players. We probably need to control the opening stages better - that's down to the opposition and the heat.

"The game plan will be different, but we will be ready come Friday."

It's hard to describe the night Scotland fans experienced on Sunday at Fenway Park.

A "Scottish celebration" evening took place where easily 10,000 Tartan Army fans flocked to baseball's old lady.

There was singing, dancing in the aisles, and just an incredible experience.

The fact 99% of them had zero clue what was going on, ach that's not important.

It's fair to say that Scotland fans are having a party.

After watching their men's side win their first World Cup match in 36 years, with a 1-0 victory over Haiti, some of the fans decided to travel to Fenway in the summer sunshine for a 'Scottish Celebration' night as the Red Sox took on the Rangers.

Ending a 28-year absence on the world's biggest stage is certainly something to celebrate.

Spain v Cape Verde (17:00 BST)

Pictures of Barcelona and Spain striker Lamine Yamal have been posted on FOX, external after he was spotted food shopping in Walmart in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

The teenager was not being bothered by anyone and looked like any other local shopper.

"The USA is a very interesting place. If you're in New York, then there's enough football fans for you to not really be able to walk the streets," said Nedum Onuoha on BBC Radio 5 Live. "But Lamine Yamal was in Walmart and nobody was stopping him!"

That got us thinking ... have you spotted any footballers in supermarkets before, or out of context in everyday places?

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha has also been speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live this lunchtime about why he loves the World Cup: "I love World Cups and getting the opportunity to watch football. It is always very different on the field and off the field.

"But when you see players score, like Raul Jimenez on day one, with the emotion of losing his father and the emotion of representing his nation, you see everyone connected.

"There's a bunch of players on the field, who even though they are professionals, they feel like amateurs."

BBC Sport's senior football correspondent Sami Mokbel has been speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live from Kansas City where England are based: "I had a little stroll last night and World Cup fever is starting to grip the city. Holland and Argentina are based here too, so there's a lot of Messi shirts.

"England's first training session on Saturday was a community event where a lot of kids and local residents were invited.

"The information we have going into the game is that the team Thomas Tuchel selects for the game against Croatia will be the team he started against Costa Rica. Obviously, there is time for that to change.

"The key issue is whether Bukayo Saka can prove his fitness. He's got Achilles tendinitis and it is a difficult injury to shake off. It's a constant niggle so I fear Saka will have to be managed through the tournament.

"From the information we have, if he was to start a game then he couldn't finish it, which makes me think whether he is more of an option coming off the bench."

Right back Tim Payne experienced social media fame when an Argentine influencer decided he was the least-known footballer at this World Cup, and urged people to give him support. Within days Payne's Instagram account had five million followers.

Chris Wood has a mere 163k followers but is their record scorer and a threat to any defence. The Nottingham Forest striker had knee surgery in December and his fitness will be managed carefully.

Wide midfielder Elijah Just lit up the Scottish Premiership this season with Motherwell and was shortlisted for PFA Scotland's Premiership Player of the Year award. His form has led to transfer rumours but he says he won't be distracted by 'outside noise'.
