Liverpool are ridiculously happy and I'm quite surprised where they are.

We all thought they would have a transition period, but to be fair they have all been together and nearly had a perfect season.

Even though it's early on it is their title to lose.

Manchester City

"We needed it. All of us. It was not the ideal performance but hopefully the victories will give our mood a better position. It's important to win, it was tight, second half. We didn't have enough energy to sustain 90 minutes but hopefully in the new year we can bounce back a bit from a bad moment.

On James McAtee: "He did everything good. The way he played and all the actions were good. He's proved he can play more and he's going to play more. The players deserve the minutes when they are on the pitch and he hasn't been able to prove how good he is. He's so intelligent, hopefully he can play in multiple positions. I think his period in Sheffield United helped him to be stronger. He didn't get minutes maybe I decided not to because we're in a difficult period and because he's young and he's not experienced but maybe I'm wrong. The young players don't feel the pressure or have anything to defend and a lot to prove."

On spending in January transfer window: "I don't know. Kevin [de Bruyne] is back but we need more in the middle and the back four, we have struggled with full-backs and central defenders. In some positions we need help. The squad is good, the problem is we don't have the squad and that makes everything difficult. When we're all together we're the team we were but with important players out for weeks and months it's so difficult. I thought central defenders would be fit all season but we have struggled - holding midfield and central defenders we need help. The market is the market it's not easy, it's expensive so we will see what the club can do."

Nottingham Forest sat back, there was no need to exert themselves and they played on the break.

They're a really improved mature grown-up side.

Is anyone going to be able to stop Liverpool? I don't think West Ham will.

To be fair to the Hammers, they are level on points with Spurs and above Manchester United in the table, so maybe their season is just a slow burner.

So far, they have been underwhelming under Julen Lopetegui, but they have now put together a four-game unbeaten run and Jarrod Bowen seems to have become their go-to player in recent weeks.

Liverpool's ability to rotate their team could be key again here, though. They did that against Leicester last time out, when Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz dropped to the bench - I had Diaz as my Fantasy captain, so I was not happy - but it made no difference to the way they played.

Arne Slot has such great quality right through his squad that I just think the Reds will keep rolling on. They won't have as much fun as they did the last time they were in London, but they should leave with the points again.

Sutton's prediction: 0-2

West Ham's fortunes have improved somewhat under Julen Lopetegui, including the narrow win at Southampton on Boxing Day, but he is still seeking the sort of statement victory to convince sceptical supporters.

There would be no better team to do it against than Liverpool, currently in such a powerful position at the top of the Premier League and rampant in the Champions League.

It will be a formidable task - but a huge crowd at the London Stadium will be hoping Lopetegui and The Hammers can pull it off.

The points are shared. Both teams extend their unbeaten run to seven games in the Prem.

We have seen this before from Southampton. To start games so well, to be dominating, then to not get the goal, today they did find it but they could not build from it.

Are they strong enough as a unit to be able to see games out? No. They're not good enough defensively.
