A horrendous start to this second half for Manchester United.

The worst possible start to the second half for Manchester United, who have their captain Bruno Fernandes sent off.

The United midfielder catches Nelson Semedo a fraction late and picks up his second yellow card of the evening.

The hosts get the second half under way.

Right back to Molineux we go. The first half was pretty uninspiring stuff but hopefully a better 45 minutes incoming.

Manchester United have failed to score in the first half in 13 of their 18 Premier League games this season, only Southampton (14) have failed to score in more in 2024-25.

Fulham have been an incredible team this season. They've gone under the radar a bit.

Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva told BBC Sport: "Football is about connections. Connections between fans, players and staff, means something really big. The most important thing is for the fans. It's not about me at all.

"Some of the speeches before the game were about the fans. It's been a long time [not winning at] their neighbours. We deserved it. We controlled more of the game. We didn't give them chances.

"We created big problems for them. Second half we had more bodies in the box and we created more problems.

"It wll be one of the best Boxing Days for the fans in the last 50 years.

"In the second half we started to make better decisions. All the good actions of the game give us confidence."

On Cole Palmer's goal: "We should have been better position - the space betwen Andreas and Sasa was too big - better communication. The quality, the way he turns, the way he passed to the goal, he didn't shoot, he's a player of top calibre.

"We improved. From that moment we kept him more quiet.

"Harry started the last game. It's so nice to see him. It's not a coincidence we're the team with the most goals coming from bench. The players know in some moments you can be decisive in 30 minutes. He's a really crucial player for us. He didn't start the season like he wanted but since he had more confidence and more time on the pitch, he can make the difference."

Newcastle United

Newcastle manage Eddie Howe, speaking to Amazon Prime: "It's a brilliant goal from Anthony [Gordon]. He's capable of that and great to see that go in as he has been working hard on his finishing and wants more goals.

"Yes, it was 11 v 10 but the game was never done at 1-0 and we showed good characteristics, we were adapting with the ball and managed the situation very well. I'm delighted with the win. We were never comfortable until the second goal and I have to complement the players and how well they are playing, it is a good set of results and performances.

"We looked like we could score at any moment, the attacking players have their confidence back which is great to see and we look in a great place.

"If we can strengthen [in January] that would be our preference, if we can't we have to get the best out of the squad."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery, speaking to Prime Video: "Newcastle here are very strong and circumstances happened in the match which were key for the result."

On the red card to Jhon Duran: "Always I am supporting VAR but you have to use VAR. Today the red card was clear for the referee straight away, he was the only person in the stadium who couldn't take his time. He has to be intelligent to take time and get the right decision.

"In this case you have to use the VAR. He has to be smart, and calm. It has to be like that.

"The red card more or less kills the game, it changes it completely.

"I do not know what happened at half-time."

Nottingham Forest

More from Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to BBC's Match of the Day on his message to players at full-time: "Just congratulations and keep going. We don't have two messages, it is the same one. Rest, recover, Everton is a tough one."

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "It was a good performance, but not a perfect one.

"Tottenham have huge quality with their players, they had chances and it was a good game.

"We started the game well and we were brave reducing the space and played some good football.

"In the second half we started well, but we had a couple of situations where we could have done better.

"In the end it was about believing, team spirit, helping each other - overall a good performance."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Ange Posetcoglou, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live:"Tight game. Not much in it. The way Forest play it was never going to be an open game.

"They scored from their counter-attack and we couldn't claw it back.

"You kind of know when the game is in the balance and I thought we were in control up until that point [Anthony Elanga's opening goal]."

On not scoring: "Combination of things. The keeper [Matz Sels] pulled off a couple of good saves and we lacked that opportunity getting a clearcut chance on goal.

"They're giving everything at the moment and it is not an easy place to come."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, speaking to Amazon Prime: "It's okay it is a point. I think the game was like we expected, a lot of duels and very intense. They are doing well and on a run so it is fine.

"We knew that set plays especially in the first half we struggled twice but in the end we did well in defending. They had several shots but we didn't need a big save from our goalkeeper. We had three or four opportunities to score, overall I think it's okay.

On their momentum with one defeat in seven league games: "Every Premier League game is tough, especially away games. It's important you are stable in defending and waiting for situations. Of course there are things to improve but overall it's going in the right direction."

On the team's character: "You could see today that they played very direct, in behind, had a lot of pace almost from every position. It makes it difficult to play against them. Sometimes you move the ball very quickly and then we could switch the sides and create situations. It was a good performance and a very important point."

Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, speaking to Amazon Prime: "We have to value a point but it's true that we wanted more. We knew the game was going to be quite level but it's a team that's very good in possession, they keep you at a low pace because it's difficult to press them because they are very good technically on the ball. We couldn't make the difference in the last third.

"I think it's costing us in some games where we aren't making the right decisions at the end. You need to spend half a second to keep a little more composure and make the right decision.

"We had the volume of arrivals, of shots, but we probably missed the last pass. The timing of the arrival, the last control, the last pass hasn't been good enough."

On managing the number of matches: "It's difficult because now we have just two days and you have to be ready again after a good effort today. I hope we don't lose more players. I think we had six players with injuries which for a squad like ours is a lot and is going to be very difficult."

On plans for the transfer window: "I know the club is working on it. I'm very busy with the games we have so obviously we will meet with the club, see the needs we have. It's true they don't think we can lose a lot of numbers."
