    Joe Sheridan (44 mins)

    Eamon Fyfe (43 mins)

The strangest of goals to break the deadlock at Seaview.

Fyfe breaks clear down the right-hand side of the box before attempting to square the ball when he should have shot.

Kurtis Forsythe appears to easily intercept for the Crues but knocks the ball straight back into the path of Fyfe, who tucks the ball into the bottom corner of the goal beyond Jonny Tuffey.

Declan Caddell will be furious with that defending.

Oran O’Kane threads a clever ball between Lewis Francis and Reece Neale, looking for Jack Malone’s run in behind. The idea is spot on, but the weight isn’t, as it skips narrowly beyond Malone’s reach.

    Coleraine 0-1 Carrick Rangers

A flowing team move from the home side involving Matthew Shevlin and Zane Okoro creates space for Will Patching to line up a shot from distance.

The midfielder, who scored a beauty in the midweek Bet McLean Cup win at Moyola Park, is unable to repeat the trick as his effort goes high over the crossbar.

  13. goal

GOAL Glentoran 0-1 Cliftonvillepublished at 15:35 GMT 6 December 2025

    Thomas Lavery (36 mins)

Out of nothing, the visitors have the opener. Eric McWoods had been causing Michael-John Kamara problems with no end product but Harry Wilson's run into the box allows him to cut back for Thomas Lavery to side-foot home first time.

Neither side have been up to much before this but Glentoran have had more of the ball so it is somewhat against the run of play.

I am sure Stephen Baxter is absolutely delighted with his game plan so far.

You have to give Baxter all his credit; he has got them behind the ball in their numbers and when the set pieces come along, they go and attack it.
