Brentford were seventh in the Championship when Thomas Frank was appointed head coach in October 2018.

This is the Dane's sixth full season in charge and he has secured the Bees a fourth successive campaign in the Premier League.

Further more, Brentford are in the conversation for a place in the Europe after Premier League doubles over Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Leicester.

They had a 4-2 statement home win over Newcastle and head into today's game following back-to-back wins over Brighton and Nottingham Forest.

Trevor: It is time for a change at the top of the club for it to be able to move forward and start challenging again for European places. Otherwise it could get even worse next season before it gets better in my opinion.

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, speaking to Sky Sports: "We got a very good away result [against Athletic Bilbao]. It is important for us to be in that final.

"The Premier League is also important, but it is a difficult moment.

This could be the game of the day.

Newcastle will move two points behind second-placed Arsenal with a win. Brighton will climb to eighth - which could be good enough for a place in Europe next season - if they secure three points.

Ruben Amorim has one eye firmly on Thursday night and the Europa League. Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro are among those on the bench. Luke Shaw is captaining Manchester United.

Brighton manager Fabio Hurzeler makes two changes following last weekend's 3-2 win against West Ham.

West Ham United

West Ham have gone backwards this season.

After David Moyes' departure at the end of 2023-24, they appointed Julen Lopetegui who lasted until January.

His replacement Graham Potter has won just three Premier League games - and none since 27 February.

The Hammers start today 17th and can finish the season no higher than 12th. They finished last season in ninth.

West Ham manager Graham Potter makes two changes to the side that lost 3-2 to Brighton in their previous league outing.

Niclas Fullkrug and Aaron Cresswell come in to the starting line-up as Dinos Mavropanos and James Ward-Prowse drop to the bench.

Since winning 4-0 at Ipswich on 20 April, Mikel Arteta's side have been held at home by Crystal Palace, lost at home to Paris St-Germain in the Champions League and lost at home to Bournemouth.

Newcastle, who start today in fourth, will move two points behind the Gunners with a win today.

And it's a big day for Chelsea. The Blues will give their Champions League hopes a huge boost with three points if Liverpool have a hangover after all those celebrations.

Will Manchester United and Tottenham be belting out the Europa League anthem in their dressing rooms?

Both have been great in Europe this season, hopeless in the Premier League. Both could be lining up in the Europa League final on 21 May - and finish in the bottom six in the table.

Meanwhile, Brighton-Newcastle could turn out to be the game of the day.

It's been a week since those joyous scenes of celebration at Anfield but it's time for Liverpool to return to action for the first time since being crowned Premier League champions.

With a trophy parade in the diary, Liverpool are getting back down to business and they're rolling out the red carpet at Chelsea ready to give Arne Slot's side a guard of honour.

Before that, three games with plenty riding on them in terms of Europe.
