Haaland? Humble? Don't remember him being so humble when he pretended to not know who Lewis-Skelly was or when he started an argument with Arteta and his staff after a game. Great player but humble he is not.

He started on his form this season and whether he can beat his current record: "Which record? Not to sound arrogant."
In total: "I had 57 in total, including with the national team [in the 2022-23 season]. I am in a good way but I don't think of this."
On whether he just takes it game by game: "Yes, definitely. Two days ago we had a game and that's history now. We need to focus on tomorrow and that's how my brain works. That's how I need to think because I cannot think too much. I need to think in the present."

"It is difficult to find. When a player has this kind of ability and the talent and generosity and kindness, whatever you want to say and Erling is like that.
"Normally a striker just thinks of goals, goals, goals. Of course he has to score goals, that is obviously clear. But he signed a contract for 10 years and the more he is involved in many things will be better for him and the club."

From my experience the teams that play every three or four days - the energy in the moment of the game but sometimes you have to train a little bit to understand what you have to do otherwise it is not possible. You have to adapt."

He added that his main goal is to help Norway qualify for the World Cup.
Norway last qualified in 1998, two years before he was born. The first World Cup he can remember is South Africa in 2010!

City will be there or thereabouts in all competitions this season. If some other players (than Haaland) start chipping in with goals then who knows. I'm a City fan and right now Arsenal look too strong in the Premier League but a cup or two is very much possible.

It is not about being not prepared last season. Last season we were injured. "Of course we are prepared for the format and for the old one. We will be ready. It is just last season, we had a lot of problems in terms of not having players and that was more difficult."
