Port Vale have bolstered their attacking options in preparation for the new season with the signing of winger Onel Hernandez and strikers Mo Faal from Wrexham and Luton Town's Oliver Lynch.

Hernandez, 33, was with Vale on a short-term deal from February until the end of last season and now re-signs on a one-year contract.

The Cuban, who made 11 appearances during his first stint at the club, played in the Premier League with Norwich City in the 2019-20 season and has also spent time with Middlesbrough, Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic.

Like Hernandez, Faal returns to Vale Park for the season after agreed a loan move from the Red Dragons, having spent the first half of last term in Burslem, where he scored three goals in 23 games.

The 23-year-old joined Wrexham from West Bromwich Albion in August 2024 and has scored three times in 16 appearances.

During his time with the Baggies, Faal spent time on loan in League Two with Doncaster Rovers and Walsall.

Lynch, 21, also joins for 2026-27 and is yet to play in the English Football League having spent the past two seasons in non-league.

He was with Hemel Hempstead for the second half of 2024-25 in National League South, scoring 11 times in 18 games, before moving up a level to Tamworth last term, where he finished as the Lambs' top scorer with 12 goals.

Vale scored 36 times in 46 league games - the lowest in League One and second lowest in the EFL - last season as they finished 10 points from safety in 22nd place and were relegated back to League Two.

The arrival of Hernandez, Faal and Lynch brings Vale's new signings so far this summer to eight.

The trio follow defender Jasper Moon, goalkeepers Jackson Smith and Mason Terry and midfielders Matthew Craig and Kyle Dempsey into boss Jon Brady's squad for the new campaign.
