Rotherham United have signed forward Fabio Tavares on a two-year contract following his exit from Burton Albion.

The Portuguese-born Tavares spent one season with the Brewers, scoring eight goals in 35 appearances for them last season after leaving Coventry City.

Now the 25-year-old becomes the first player to join the Millers this summer, although the South Yorkshire club remain without a manager.

Rotherham will play in League Two this season for the first time in 13 years after being relegated last term.
