What a golden opportunity and totally blown by Humphries.

The 50 was unlucky but to miss the single was the big mistake.

It's tough to pick a winner because this is two players with question marks surrounding them.

We know the quality is there but is it there in every instance? No.

  13. Humphries holdspublished at 19:24 BST 9 April

    Humphries 1-0 Clayton

Not exactly the fastest of starts to this one as both players have a few misplaced throws in the opening leg and don't hit the treble bed as often as they would like.

Luke Humphries successfully holds as he needs just one dart at double 16 as he takes out 52.

There's still a long way to go, a lot of points to be picked up. I can't believe that Luke Humphries can go the whole league phase and not win a week.

The way he plays on a week by week basis, he's going to give himself a chance.

He was berating himself every time he missed trebles - not doubles, trebles. He's got to stop that.

    Laura Turner
Ex-Women's World Championship quarter-finalist on Sky Sports

It's just piecing it all together for Luke Humphries because he's played well.

At the start of the Premier League season he was missing too opportunities at the back end of matches and it was frustrating him.

That has grown as the wait for the weekly win has gone on. He's getting more frustrated.

Jonny Clayton had a seven-point lead at one stage this season, but has since slipped down to third.

Having won his opening match in each of the first six weeks, he is now looking to pick up his first win in four weeks.

He takes on world number two Luke Humphries this evening, who is currently sixth in the standings.

The defending champion hit a nine-darter in Brighton last year against Rob Cross. Could we be due another tonight?
