A 180 to start this leg from Luke Humphries, who is first to get down to a finish.

He is down to 46 before Jonny Clayton has even managed to break 200.

14 and double 16 wraps up a comfortable leg for Humphries.

Jonny Clayton needs to be in this game at the break. You don't want to be chasing Luke Humphries or Luke Littler.

A rapid first leg from Jonny Clayton as he takes the lead.

He gets down to 58 and there are no wobbles on the outer ring, pinning tops at the first time of asking for an 11-darter.

There were plenty of Welsh flags in the crowd for Clayton's walk-on.

Although I've seen plenty of supporters with Humphries shirts on today.

I've just seen Luke Littler walking around backstage with his family.

He certainly looks a lot happier than he did on stage at times.

Way back in early February at the tournament's media launch in Newcastle, Jonny Clayton quickly discovered he would have to fight to get his hands on the Premier League trophy for a second time.

Each of this season's eight-man field faced the media at St James' Park with the trophy on the table in front of them.

    Well, everyone but Clayton.

He was the last of the eight players to talk to us, by which point, the trophy had been taken elsewhere.

'The Ferret' is now just two wins away from making sure he not only gets his hands on the trophy for a second time, but also keeps it.

There is very little to choose between these two.

Jonny Clayton won three of the four meetings between the duo in the Premier League this year.

'The Ferret' also leads 11-8 when it comes to his matches with 'Cool Hand'.

But the bookmakers still have Humphries as the favourite.

It does feel like Luke Humphries has built at the right time.

He needed results and he needed them quickly and he came into his own. He found a formula and he went with it.

His body language has been so good over the past five weeks.

It would have been deemed a massive failure if he didn't get here but now he's arguably the form horse.

Luke Humphries looked a beaten man so to do what he's done is absolutely incredible.

He must feel so good about himself.

Only Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen have won back-to-back Premier League titles since the tournament started in 2005.

Luke Humphries will join that illustrious group with victory here in London tonight.

He featured in each of the past four night finals and also won Players Championship 17 in Leicester 10 days ago with a ridiculous tournament average of 104.74.

Jonny Clayton has had a brilliant season. He's spent the whole season in the top four.

He's just so reliable in the Premir League. This is the tournament where we see the best of him.

He is resilient and gritty and finds a way to win.

    Jonny Clayton LOVES this tournament.

In the official 2026 tournament programme, Clayton was the only player in this year's eight-man field to name the Premier League as his favourite part of the darting calendar.

It's not hard to understand why given that he's reached finals night in all four of his appearances in the event and won it on debut in 2021.

  16. Price edges stats but Littler progressespublished at 20:05 BST 28 May

    Result: Littler 10-9 Price

    Well, well, well.

At the halfway stage Luke Littler was dominating on the doubles, but such was his drop-off in missing five for the match and the brilliance from Gerwyn Price, it is actually the Welshman who finishes with a higher checkout percentage.

He edges the average too, but it is Littler who progresses to the final.

What an incredible match of darts that was. No wonder the 16,000 inside the O2 stand and applaud.

Gerwyn Price was down and out but his stunning comeback pushed the world champion to the edge.

But, once again, Luke Littler is in the Premier League final.

Huge relief on the face of Littler there.

He embraces Price, and the pair have a laugh and a hug together after serving up an absolute stormer of a match.

Well done to both, that was magnificent.

A wonderful effort from 'The Iceman' after being 9-4 down, but the world champion shows his resilience to win the final leg.
