    Result: Littler 6-5 Humphries

More from Luke Littler talking to ITV4: "This is one I didn't have hold of but now I have hold of it and now there is only one left. Some may say two with the World Cup but I'll go with Luke [Humphries] and try and win that.

  3. 'He's the greatest darts player who has ever lived' - Humphriespublished at 22:14 GMT 1 February

    Result: Littler 6-5 Humphries

World Masters runner-up Luke Humphries speaking to ITV4: "You look back on the whole game. It's hard to pick holes in it. It's only the three at double top, that's the pressure he puts you under. He has shown that through class. He never folds under pressure. I think he's the greatest darts player who has ever lived.

"It's exciting. I can go away and think he's in a good place. I'm feeling really good about my game. I'm gutted not to win it but I think I proved why I'm still the second best player in the world. It's not the biggest achievement, I want to be the best."

  4. 'I had nothing left going into the last break'published at 22:10 GMT 1 February

    Result: Littler 6-5 Humphries

Luke Littler talking to ITV4: "I'm shattered, absolutely knackered. Going into the last break at 5-4, I said I have nothing left, absolutely nothing, but I just managed to dig deep. I was fully focussed and managed to get the job done.

"It has been a weird week and tough at times but this is why we battle every game and every leg, and I've come out victorious. It has been me and Luke in the first major of the year and I'm sure it will continue."

From Thursday evening to now, the standard of darts has been utterly ridiculous.

  12. Littler wins set 10 to take final to deciderpublished at 22:01 GMT 1 February

    Littler 5-5 Humphries

Exhilarating stuff from both men, trading two and three treble visits at a time it would be easy to fold.

Both men get to 64, but Luke Littler will go first.

He pins it first time to break throw and take the set.

    We're off to a decider!

  13. Littler wins set-10 openerpublished at 21:59 GMT 1 February

    Littler 4-5 Humphries (1-0)

For Luke Littler, the equation is simple. Win two sets and he is World Masters champion.

It is even easier for Luke Humphries, who only needs one.

Littler, on his throw, sets up 82 after nine darts and gets six at it, if he needs them.

The first three leave a full visit at 40 and one dart later, pins tops.

  15. Littler and Humphries averages after nine setspublished at 21:56 GMT 1 February

    Littler 4-5 Humphries

While these sets are shorter than traditional set play, the numbers Luke Humphries and Luke Littler are posting are quite simply ridiculous.

Littler, currently one set down and chasing back-to-back set wins for the World Masters title, is averaging 104.27 after the first nine sets.

If that was not good enough, leader and defending champion Humphries is going at 106.04 per visit.

    Littler 4-5 Humphries

A ninth-set decider comes on Luke Humphries' throw and Cool Hand gets six darts at 161.

    Littler 4-4 Humphries (1-1)

    This leg is quite important...

There is a break after this leg and neither player will want it. They are both in a rhythm.

  19. Littler levels set and match in ninthpublished at 21:52 GMT 1 February

    Littler 4-4 Humphries (1-1)

It is easy to forget just how much ahead these two are of the rest of the darting world on their day. Breath-taking to watch.

Luke Littler gets six darts to take out 130, but lays up instead of going for bull.

A sensible call, with double 10 levelling up set nine and the match.
