Gary Anderson celebratesImage source, PA Media

Gary Anderson talking to Sky Sports after beating Justin Hood 5-2 to reach the semi-finals:

"I'm just happy to get over that line. I had control at certain stages, but then I made a mess of it at times, and when it got to 2-2 I thought 'oh dear'.

"I started to get into a rhythm at the end there and throw darts fast and it was working. I'm just over the moon to get through."

On facing Luke Humphries or Gian van Veen next: "Luke Littler is the greatest on the planet right now, but what Humphries has done over the last two years, defending his money, he's there or thereabouts - he's a top-class player. Young Gian Van Veen, also very good. It's going to be a toughy."

On his Championship chances: "Next game first."

It is just the third time he has done so since winning in 2016.

A reminder that 2016 is a decade ago. It doesn't feel like it.
